It was busy during new years but it settled down just after. Steve is a great and help full dude.

A great hostel with lots of character. A classic backpacker hostel with Steve being the host with the most. Can´t complain too much when you have free pool table, swimming pool, big screen TV and comfy couches. A great place to meet new friends. There is definitely some room for improvement around the edges as far as keeping things clean and some additions like valuable safes and topless bar maids wouldn´t go astray. Still it gets my vote for both times I have been to Peurto.

tower bridge... quite unforgettable. might look like it runs itself, but the beer is always there when you need it and if there is no running water you can use someone else´s shower or the pool, or just ask Steve... very social, very relaxed, close to the safe beach, cheap, maybe not the cleanest hostel ever, but what a character... definetely recommended.

The owners were very rude and disorganized. The front keypad was broken, so at times the front door was just left open. The door to my ´room´ was in constant use, as the bed I was using was basically in the communal kitchen (which only functioned as a kitchen in so far as it had a fridge with beer), so anyone could come in and out of my room at all hours. Overall it was a pretty horrible experience and I only spent one of the three nights I paid for there.

Not very close to the main beaches and downtown restaurants & shops, but it more than made up for that with atmosphere. Steve and Amelio were great and kept a clean hostel. The other guests were friendly and outgoing. All in all, it was a fun place to stay and taxis to the town center were cheap and easy to come by.

What can one say to do this place justice? I spent 4 nights at Steve's place and absolutely loved every second of it. Great people, an excellent vibe and an unforgettable new years adventure all round. All in all, the coolest hostel in Mexico that's well worth your time and money

If you want to go to a hostel thats a mess, and is run by a very strange intrusive Englishman (which makes me not proud to be english) then go here!
