I was taken to a hovel on a dirt road in the middle of the night! I was worried that it was going to be set up to be robbed. To be fair if it was in the middle of day the experience would have been just disgusting instead of terrifying.

The owners are great, generous and honest people and they will think and provide the best tours for you considering your time and your money. The hostal is simple but cozy and the food is fine. The only point that needs improvement is the bathroom. The water is not always hot and the bathroom itself doesn´t look (or smell) that clean.
Gan, our host, was a mine of information, friendly, spoke good English and was really helpful. However, it is a shame that the rooms were small and dark, the beds hard and hot water almost non-existent. After one night we moved to Danista Nomads hostel less than 5 minutes walk away where for exactly the same price we had clean bedding on a comfortable mattress and an en suite bathroom with a ready supply of hot water.
The kitchen has no water, so cleaning up is a bit messy. There were some problems with the water in toilets and showers (no water) and after 2 days of rain the room had some leaks. The owner and his wife are super friendly and helpful, they definitely made our stay better.
Good location and friendly staff, unfortunately very poor internet connection (maybe that is just temporary issue).
Hostel is OK. The hot water barely works, infact the water pressure only works when it decides to and often you are left standing there with the tap on until the water comes out. Kitchen is more like a fridge, kettle and portable one burner camping stove. That being said Gan the owner and his wife are EXTREMLEY helpful and organized tours etc if we wanted them.
This is a great hostel. The owners are wonderful, they have been kind and patient during my stay and have helped arrange guides and trips, at better prices than other hostels and tour groups around. More than this the owner Gan is very easy to communicate with (he's good fun also), and will recommend trips that are better for the guests, even if it means that they cost less. If you are looking for a warm place to meet others and arrange good trips out of the city, I can't imagine somewhere beter
Although it was a little difficult to wash dishes and the shower was eccentric, the owners are very, very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was great. The 8 bed dorm gets a bit crowded when full as there isn't really space for luggage, and there's not much in the way of security for your things. At a push, I would stay there again because of the warm welcome :D
The owner is one of the most helpful lovely people I've met in Mongolia. He was only to happy to help try to get me organised (no mean feat, I needed it):-) They are a really lovely couple, and I would def stay here again.
Very kind staff and good value for the money.
please need more clean in toilet and rooms, the infrastructure in toilet is not so good. in this hostel there are big problem with water. this is another ILEGAL Hostel
The owners are extremely helpful and nice, they make all possible efforts to make your stay pleasant. The location is ok, but the area seems not very safe in the evening (quite a few drunk people on the street already at 7 pm).

The perfect place to stay if what you want is a great atmosphere and a chance to socialise with other travellers. Dont expect too much from the showers. Otherwise absolutely charming.
