The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was especially nice to get a free pickup from the airport.

This hostel is located near Station 3 and very near to the beach. The staff are incredibly friendly and very helpful. We had a great stay. You are close enough to walk to the D*mall area where many of the restaurants and bars are but far enough to allow you some peace and quiet. A great place to stay.

Great atmosphere and helpful staff. You would need a delux room as the standard beds are very thin and they only give you one pillow. Saying that the location is excellent and its a great place to meet people.

This was a great place to stay. Rooms are simple and comfortable. The hostel is roughly a 2 minute walk to the Station 3 beach area. Drawback is no internet. There is an internet cafe as well as a restaurant next door with wi-fi. Staff are very welcoming and incredibly helpful. Definitely recommend a stay here.

I wish there was wi-fi at the hotel. Other than that, this place is almost perfect.

Really loved this hostel. Very nice, isolated feeling, even though it's a three-minute walk to the mayhem of White Beach. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Even though there weren't lockers in the rooms, I felt that my belongings were perfectly safe. The bathrooms are very basic, but that's pretty standard in the Philippines. If going to Boracay, I definitely recommend this place!

if you wanna travel consciously and give your money to non-foreign owned businesses and contribute to the local community, this a good choice! the owner is Filipino and has been in Boracay for over 20 years before the place became a major destination, he will share pics of boracay before it was boracay with you if you ask him : ) he even helped me look for other accomodations when I extended my stay and their place was fully booked, now thats hospitality!

We had a great time at Trafalgar Cottages, and will definitely recommend this hostel to all our family, friends and acquaintances who will be traveling to Boracay. The hostel is very clean and well maintained, and the staff is very kind and helpful. If we had any questions or problems, they were quick to help and extremely friendly. We stayed in the 5-person female dorm, and it was comfortable and we felt safe. We really appreciate the staff's kindness and the great time we had staying there!

The staff was extremely helpful in any way, the location is at 200 m from the beach, the bathrooms were cleaned multiple times a day, and the hangmats on our balcony were the ultimate way to escape the crowd on White Beach sometimes.

Our things were stolen from the front of the room when drying. Not materially valued (although probably 3 times more than a night in that place), but with a huge sentimental value. When we tried to contact anyone from management, no-one was available for the whole day and the staff couldn't (didn't want?) even give us a phone number to the management. We moved out as soon as possible, 2 minutes away - cheaper, with aircon and internet connection.

AMAZING VALUE, room are basic but clean plus it is a short walk to the beach, definately the backpackers choice or even if you are on a budget and don't want to pay the over-the-odds prices of the resorts. There is an great outside covered communal area with kitchen which was perfect for to eating and drinking under with the owner and his staff, prob the best experience on Borocay I had - it felt like home from home!

nice cottage only thing is that they have bedbugs in cottage number 1 the 2 off us are covert with the bite marks.. they changed the matras but if i did not see it wrong they placed it in an other cottage in the back. and the other thing is when the boss (the older men) is away the others put the music on so loud that it's not nice to chill infront in your hammock or on your little terras. but over all good value for your money

Comparing with other hostels, the general condition is not outstanding, it rates average. Security & cleanliness are good, so is the island. Location is perfect! S3, the Trafalgar Cottages location, is a very nice place to stay – quiet, not bustling and less visitors, but it is just 10 mins way to the busy S2. 2 mins walk from door to beach. Staffs are very nice-to-help. Boss has rich experience of traveling, he has been to Africa and mid-east! if applying internet access will be great!
