Staff were helpful- the young girl was the best. Room was good and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was also good. No complaints. Pick up from train station was also great- even when the train was a bit late. Would stay here again.

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. The free breakfast was a great bonus, and it was very delicious too! So overall it was a great stay!

The staff are more than helpful. I left 160,000dong in change at a shop while on a tour. The tour people wouldn't do anything but the next day, I found a card from the shop and showed it to the hotel staff. She phoned at least 3 people and finally got the shop owner to give me my money. The security guy handed me a helmut and took me on his motorbike to the shop for my money. This service goes beyond excellence. I am very thankful for the staff at the Tran Ly Hotel.

Good central location. Very friendly and helpful staff, helped also with booking of hotel in Hanoi. 3 or 4 stations for free Internet access in the lobby. Backpack storage services. Average breakfast. We had a room without a window, with reasonable ventilation trough the window in the bathroom. Some people may object it, I did like it, as the layout described cut out a lot of noise from the streets. In fact, it was perhaps the most tranquil room we had in Vietnam during 3 weeks of our travel.

For that price, I would like a window other than the one in the bathroom.

The rooms were nice and spacious. The shower sprayed in random directions so everything got soaked. Intense in the room didn't work so had to sit in reception. However the staff were extremely helpful when I left behind an item. They managed to get it to me in Hoi An free of charge. Made it worthwhile for me.

Tran lay has some of the friendliest, most helpful staff I've ever met. The room was basic, but clean and spacious. Breakfast was great. Close to the nightlife but still nice and quiet in the rooms.

Extremely bad sound insulation. Slept on second floor and could hear phone in lobby ring. Rest is okay.

They have an 11pm curfew which we weren't aware about when we booked the hostel. Location and staff were both fine.

We only stayed one night, but our room was clean and comfortable. We had all the facilities we needed and the staff were all friendly and helpful. I would stay here again and I would recommend it to others.

Guys from security are the best, especially the younger guy. Very polite, helpful and always smiling. And they make your breakfast. Staff is friendly but they always give different prices. DMZ tour was cheapest in the hotel, but the bus tickets were cheaper on the corner at the dmz restaurant. Bike rent is 35 000/30 000 (depends on the staff), but 20000 on the streets. Room was dark and there was a moldy smell. No window to let some fresh air in the room. We had a headache for 3 days there.

This was by far the best place I stayed at in Vietnam. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They are actually waiting at the door for you and greet you by your name upon arrival, just as shown in the picture. They are very knowledgeable about the city. They assisted me even prior to my arrival in booking bus tickets to Laos and were very prompt with their emails. The rooms are very clean and someone is always ready to assist you with anything you need. The location is great.

It's OK for the price. Good location, but don't buy the excursion and tours that they offer.

We stayed in a double room and found it comfortable and spacious. Although there was no window they had tried hard to insert a few glass bricks into the wall to let light in. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast (free) was great. Excellent value for money overall.
