The staff at this hostel treated us like royalty. You can't get much more value for your money. The rooms are big and clean, and the free breakfast was great! It's in an excellent location, and you can organize anything you want to do for a reasonable price through the hostel. Definitely stay here on your trip to Hue!

Pro: We got a huge room, which was clean and there was a desktop computer in the room. Con: The food was not impressive. The desktop had no anti-virus. When I installed some free anti-virus sofware, there were a ton of infections.

Staff were pleasant, rooms were clean, and they arranged a day trip to the DMZ. However, this turned out to be a shot-gun tour of this area. We booked a 6am to 6 pm tour, but arrived back early at the hotel at 4pm as the driver was just keen to end the tour as soon as possible (2 hrs early). We only had literally 10 minutes inside the Vinh Moc tunnels and were told we should visit again if we wanted to see more. Do make sure you request a room with a window as ours did not and was very damp.

i happened to get the nices room while in Vietnam. Great location, stuff could speak English and was very helpful. on top of that Hue is a lovely little city. just be careful with the tours they offer - you are only paying for the transport everything is an add on costs.

Nice hotel with good facilities and friendly staff. The only downside is that it's about a 20 minute walk from the main area but even still that's not too far.

Tran Ly Hotel turn out to be the best hotel that we stayed in our trip (we stayed in 6 hotels in this trip). Staff are really friendly and helpful, room is very clean and has a big window facing the street. The door and window is sound proof, once you close the window and door, you hear only minimal noise from the street. Room has everything we need - tv, fridge, phone and it even have a breakfast menu. Many choice of breakfast and is delicious. We'll definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel. Very helpfull staff. Extremely clean. Only the breakfast is not so good. Fruit juice with hot water, extremely salty eggs. Safe breakfastchoice is a boiled egg with toast.

I booked a overnight sleeper bus through the hotel and was supposed to have a bed on the bus all the way to the destination. However, 8 hours away from the destination the driver said the bus ticket was useful for a bed and didn't allow me to have a bed anymore. I had to spend 8 hours sitting and laying down in the aisle, even though I paid double the cost of a regular ticket. Also the room smelled mouldy and there was no shower curtain.

We had a great time in Tran Ly Hotel. It was so cheap but the room was big and clean. The staff was amazingly friendly and for breakfast we could choose from the card what we like. I would defenitly go back!

great hotel. room clean, modern, big, comfortable, good wifi. bathroom clean with hot water on demand though it definitely wasn't endless. choose-from-menu breakfast included. on main road and close around corner from Hue Backpackers Hostel and all the bars/restaurants/shops/travelagencies you need. long walk-able to citadel and bus station. cheap for how modern and nice it is.

Nice place in a good location, clean, very helpful staff, good service (Wifi, laudry, taxi etc.). Shame we had a room without a window, but I would still recommend.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good location near restaurants and a short walk from the Citadel. Good range of choices for breakfast. Room walls were damp, but wasn't a problem. I would stay again.
