Stayed in a private room which came with TV, Fridge and lots of storage which is excellent for a backpackers accommodation. The owner is very friendly and extremely helpful especially when looking for work even delivering local paper with jobs to our room :-) The people staying in the hostel where very friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. All in all a fun and comfortable stay :-)

When I walked in it just felt very dirty and unclean and our room wasnt vacumed when we got there and neither when we left though they said they would. The kitchen smelt like rotten milk, I was very disappointed. We didnt end up staying there at all but got our money back instead which they very kindly did. I do understand that the finacial hardships caused by the recent earthquake are not easy, I can over look the facilities because of this but cleanliness is something I cant over look sorry
