Problems with the electricity. The vibe of the sink floods the toilet.

facilities are there (aircon tv etc) but powercuts meant we didnt even have a flushing toilet despite them having a generator (which despite us paying for the room they would not turn on in the evenings) so i marked this down as everywhere else has power during the cuts even throughout the nights . right on the beach so loud until about 3am. you can get alot cheaper in the area as there are so many places to stay

The rooms were tiny and cramped. The bathroom door didn't lock. The bathroom was unclean. When we approached an owner about this he was very defensive, extremely rude and told us we booked the wrong room. The younger staff member was a lot more friendly. Not all rooms have air conditioning or hot showers so double check before booking. Location was good for the price

Decent Hostel. Great location on the beach, but its next to two backpacker bars that will keep you up. Also major power outages the entire time. THey have a generator but it\'s expensive so they try not to use it. As a result no showers or fans the first night...we left for another guesthouse that ran the generator the entire blackout and was 1/2 the price. Cool people though

Arrived at 7am and had to wait 5,5 hours for the room.. It's a really awesome location right next to the beach and really close to the bars. Our second day there it was a blackout for 8hours so no electricity and no water! The room got to hot to be in and u couldn't use your toilet or shower.. All the other hotels put on there second generator after like 3hours but Tranquility waited 8hours which really annoyed me! The staff wasn't really that nice and there kids was everywhere with there toys

The room we stayed in (basic, fan, no a/c) was a bit shabby but the bed was comfortable. The staff are excellent and happy to help with whatever you need. Great value for money, especially given the fantastic location. Great restaurant too. Would definitely stay there again.

All in all pretty cool with a nice atmosphere and little nice bungalows just a few metres from the beach. What I was worried about was the security, because the doors are locked by a padlock, which itselve is very safe, but the two parts you lock together are just little metallic hooks twisted into the wood of the door and the doorframe. One slight kick and the door should be openened even if it's locked.

This hostel was a $15 per night hostel charging $25. We stayed less than 100 meters away in a newly built bungalow type room that was clean and of far better quality for the same, $25. The rooms are in need of modernisation or at least a good clean. An overriding smell of body odour is our main memory. Stayed one night simply for the fact that we arrived late and was to knackered to move on.

Tucked away in the corner of the beach this is quite a relaxed place away rom the busy beach and still a few minutes walk to it.

Kind of disappointed with the room, glad we were only staying one night. The sink was broken and the room was kind of run down. Definitely a lot nicer places to stay on the beach. Location is decent, right off the main bar/party area.

The location is great, right near the main street. My only real complaint was that it was really noisy at night, which is really due to location and not the hostels fault, this is a super party area. Everyone was really nice.

I'm really glad we stayed there. Best location at the end of Serendipity beach so you're very near the active beach bars all in a row but can get away to Tranquility's relative tranquility in a matter of seconds. This place is quiet, with good breakfast and they do weekend Sunday roast--and like I said, steps from the action anyway as bars are chock-a-block on the beach. Was clean and had everything we basically needed, including a mosquito net.:)

Not that impressed with with this place. Main positive was the helpful western staff, who helped us with bus advice and stored our bags for us. However, facilities in the room were below expectations. The tv reception was poor and the fan and aircon were ineffective. The exit pipe from the sink ran along the floor, the water came out on the bathroom floor and flowed infront of the doorway to the drain. Wifi does not reach the rooms and no free pick up. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

WE enjoyed our stay at tranquility! the staff was very helpful and the rooms nice. though we would rather take a room with a/c the next time, since it can get quite hot in the fan rooms.

The wners were away when we arrived and staff had a çouldn't care less''attitude. This imrpoved on oweners return, who were English and very pleasant. They have a fabulous beach front but vehicular access is via a nasty smelly alley. This guest house is good value for money due to its beach side location. Their food is good - but not so the service. They also tuned off their WiFi quite early in the evening.

Clean, basic rooms. Expensive, but could be the time of year we booked (new year's eve). Can't beat the location, absolutely gorgeous. Would stay there again. NOTE: if going to Sihanoukville around new years book ahead, we were there three nights and had to book three different places because everywhere was booked out.
