Had a great stay, Anton was really knowledgable about the local area and a good vodka drinking buddy!

Great place! Really close to train station. Clean, with a big kitchen, good beds, and common room. I would return there! Yulia and Anton are very friendly, kind and helpful. I felt like at home!

We went here with no plans and a free week. We would have floundered by ourselves, but the staff at this hostel went WAY above and beyond to ensure that we had the best week of our lives. The location is great, we met loads of Trans-Siberian trekkers even in November, and Anton made sure that we had an incredible time despite ourselves. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone of any age who wants to see Irkutsk and Baikal or just needs a place to lay their head for a night between trains.

It's a good hostel that's close to the train station. When we were here it was unlucky because we were the only ones (though it was off-season) so it may be more fun during high season.

Good luck finding the hostel, but once you do, its handy to the station.

The best hostel in Irkutsk! Large & spacious, original wood flooring, cosy and homely, uber clean and ultra secure. The staff, Julia and Anna, ensure you feel as if you're at home. Anton is wonderful and a wealth of information on Baikal & Siberian History/Geography; he can advise and book inexpensive Lake Baikal tours too. A central location and easy to find; just follow the instructions and DON'T go across the bridge, go in the opposite direction, up the stairs! Truely a home away from home.

staff really friendly and good showers and dorm beds etc.. best hostel in town in terms of proximity to train station though quick tram ride or 15 min to city centre. Perfect after four days on a train from Moscow. Staff really helpful and arranged our stay on Olkhon Island
