I was only staying at the hostel for a night, but had a fab time!! it had everything I needed; Comfortable common area, fully functioning kitchen, spacious and clean bathrooms, the rooms were a good size and fairly priced, out door soical area was great and hostel was kept spick and span (clean). The location was great and the staff were really friendly and very helpful in assisting me in finding the right things to do and see which suited me. Will definitely tell my friends to check it out!

I had to pick which bed in the dorm to sleep in by which one had the least blood stains on the matress... Pretty gross. The first day I was there the night manager was drinking all day and was passed out by the time his shift was to start, doesn't instil much confidence for night time security. Felt really sorry for the lovely girl who had to pull a triple shift because of it, too.

Great staff. Kitchen crowded in summer rush. Facilities good except showers go hot and cold with other users. Some beds squeaky

Though I stayed for one night only, it was good. I liked it. If I go to Hobart again, I prefer to stay there.

After staying in a lot of hostels in many different countries overseas, I hope this is not the standard of all hostels at home in Australia. It felt like the bare minimum to meet regulations was being done to qualify as a hostel - rooms were really hot and there wasn't even a fan, the window opened onto a dumpster, there was no soap in the bathrooms, the kitchens were filthy, and I couldn't get the one hour of free wifi to work on either my phone or computer. I'd try my luck elsewhere next time.

Only complaint was the showers were pretty awful and would scald or freeze you without notice. Really good location and cheaper than most others! Comfy beds and a nice big loungeroom. Really friendly, helpful staff!

Booked just before Falls Festival and had illegal sleepers on the floor, 3 of them. Really need to work on security as anyone can wonder in and no lockers. everything else is pretty good. I would stay again, but never leave valuables around.
