Transylvania Hostel Reviews

I had never stayed in a hostel previously, and I was a little nervous to do so. Transylvania Hostel put all my fears to rest, though! Everyone working there was extremely kind and friendly, and made the stay great. My room was clean and cozy, and I loved the communal kitchen. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I was on a tight schedule. Will definitely recommend to any friends traveling to Cluj!

Really great staff (Andrea is my fav), good location, good value for money, I would definitely recommend this hostel.

The hostel was nice - clean, well staffed. I would recommend it, but have to share: While I was there 3 out of 4 toilets broke and were unusable for 2 days. Also - to get access to the kitchen, you have to ask staff members for the keycard, which was a pain when they were busy.

It's a great place to stay when you go to Cluj, excelent location and great staff.

the place is great! the location is more than excellent, so the facilities are and regarding the staff there, all the girls are nice, helpful and good english speakers(which is a great advantage for foreign treavellers). I strongly reccomend this place both for a one night stay, but also for a week or so! you're the best in town guys. thank you for making my short stay in Cluj a great experience and see you on Friday!

Excellent hostel born from excellent staff. My favorite receptionist was all of them :-P and I managed to have excellent conversation with everyone working at the hostel. Met some very nice guests as well, was provided cereal in the mornings, and was treated so nicely that I decided to stay forever! Seriously. I'm still there.

I have been to Cluj before and stayed in a different hostel last time. Transylvania hostel outdone the other hostel by a million miles. Such a lovely place to stay. Clean, breakfast provided, excellent location but what makes this hostel extra special is the staff and in particular Andrea. All the staff were lovely but Andrea instantly made me feel welcome on arrival and went out of her way to help me or suggest things to do. Big thanks to Andrea, you rock! Laura. xx

Probably one of the best hostels we've ever stayed! The staff are amazing, they go out of their way to help you and make sure you have a comfortable stay. They will even help you plan the next leg of your trip and give you loads of advice. They also recommended loads of bars, cafes and restaurants for us to go to which they were all great. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the showers are always hot. We have nothing bad at all to say about this hostel. It was fantastic!

This is the only review I will ever do about a hostel- it was that good. First of all, the staff was amazing. They told us places to go, special deals (like cheesecake and coffee for 6 lei) etc, etc. The rooms were clean & the bed comfy. I would only suggest more outlets. :) The bathrooms are very clean, and they keep the hot water coming. I was never "grossed out" by any of the facilities. The location is also perfect, literally RIGHT in the middle of city center, but not noisy. I recommend!

I think it was the best choice that i've choose when i must to book an hostel. a friend of mine recomended this place, and me too. The staff was very kind and help us with all the troubles that we can have in our trip. fantastic!

I really liked Transylvania Hostel. As soon as I walked into the "living room" I felt like arriving in a friend´s apartment rather than staying in hostel. The staff was very welcoming and superfriendly. The location is excellent and the hostel itself has everything you need to have a fantastic stay. Beds are very cosy and the hostel has a great vibe. Ideal location. Near excellent restaurants, bars and clubs etc. Also right near a very cheap and big supermarket which is open 24/7. The hostel is cosy and clean and the staff are really helpful and cool.

I can hardly remember a better experience in a hostel ever, and I\'ve been to quite a few all around Europe. The staff is helpful and friendly, and I got to meet all of them. During my stay in the Transylvania Hostel of Cluj-Napoca I totally felt like home, they show me around the city and made me enjoy Cluj way more than I expected. Clean place, really cosy and taken care of, super safe. I\'ve been there twice already, and if I go back to Cluj, I\'ll go there again, trust me.

Fantastic hostel. Staff are fantastic and very willing to help. Layout of the hostel makes it very social, easy to meet people. I will definitely go back.
