Really cool place to chill out after a long day walking around London... And cool open mic night on a Friday... Can't fault it much, maybe the water pressure gets a bit low when all the showers are being used but I'm knit picking here... Awesome stay will come again...

About 30 minutes to walk to downtown or 15 to an underground station. Otherwise, great place, cool bar, nice folks all around, good breakfast. Take advantage of the free events like Salsa lessons on Wednesdays!

Staff were very friendly and helpful in directing me where to go and what to do. They were also really helpful when I needed to leave early in the morning and setting me off properly. Bathrooms were clean and the rooms were fine, I would recommend Travel Joy to anyone.

I only stayed two nights sadly, but I had a great time. Staff was the best, and Olli was a stud (hope I spelled your name right) Beer was excellent. The bathroom had an interesting smell but everything else makes up for it. Well worth the stay.

Everything was awesome besides this weird smell that soaked into our clothes and backpacks that I can still smell two weeks later but it was an awesome hostel and the staff were great and friendly!

Not enough lockers in the group rooms. As well, the overall building was a bit dingy and could use a thorough cleaning. The staff were friendly and helpful and the drink prices were very reasonable - especially for London

First impressions weren't great. The check-in desk is at the bar so after a long, wet day had to wait for 15 mins in a packed bar to get my keycode. The hostel, including the rooms, are dated and the décor is dark. Could do with a revamp. Beds are packed really close together so my head was really close to a strangers. But the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was lovely. Good value for money.

Excellent hostel! Great staff, really helpful. Clean rooms, free towels, lockers to put your stuff in (bring your own padlock). Free juice and drinks downstairs 24/7. Free, big breakfast spread in the morning-they will even cook you eggs! Located right along the Thames, it´s 10 minutes walk to Pimlico station, and about a 15 minute walk along the river to Parliament. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to a friend!

I enjoyed my stay. The location is great. And they provide the best breakfast of any hostel I've ever stayed at.

The map to the hostel was not helpful. I spent a lot of time wandering. I got there before the closing of the reception, a fact that i did not know in advance. As my luggage was really heavy and no lift was available i had to ask for somebody to do it for me. In the morning when i checked out i was not asked if i needed some help. Some other clients helped me carry my baggage through the narrow corridor with the steep stairs. It was cheap though.

Had to catch an early flight so I tried checking out at 7:20am but the bar was closed and no one would answer, so I had to leave my linens and lose my small key deposit because of this. Would not recommend if you have to check out at an early time. Other than that the staff was extremely helpful and right beside a bus stop.

I have never stayed in a hostel before but by the overall impression I got here, it was a great place to stay. The staff is very nice and always willing to help, it's clean, the breakfast in the morning is a great perk, cheap drink specials, free dance lessons Wednesdays, need I say more? Great value for your money.

I had a great stay in Travel Joy Hostel in Chelsea, I can say that it's the best hostel in London. The staff was really kind and helpful. The room was warm and confortable. The pub downstairs is great. The bathrooms and showers were very clean, and there was plenty of hot water. The breakfast was the best I ever had in a hostel!! And the restaurant serves really good food and with razonable prices. I'm very thankful to all the people working in this great hostel. I hope to be back very soon!!
