Great place, friendly staff and right by the bus stop in a nice part of town. Walking distance to major attractions.

This hostel is in a nice location, outside the madness of central London, but definitely within walking distance of the center, and a bus stops at the front door and covers most attractions. There is a certain lack of toilets and showers, particularly during the morning ''rush''. The bar downstairs has decent discounts and really good Thai food.
Reception desk and common room was somewhat cramped and set up more like a restaurant with table and chairs and a few older leather couches. The room we stayed in was quite small for five bunk beds and not much space to move around. There were lockers inside the room and several in the hallway but again not space to manuever. The lockers had sagging shelves but fortunately our our group of three used two tiered locker together for added security. No airconditioning in sleep rooms.
YOU GUYS ARE SICK ESPECIALLY MA BOI ARNO OLLI i'll def be back if i'm travelling through london again

The omelette breakfast is the best I have had in any hostel, however the price changing everyday is a bit of a pain..
Good location. Bus in front of the hostel bring you at the main tourist sites. The breakfast is incredible with eggs, toast, juice, yogurt, cereal. Wifi cost 1 £ /day. Free drink all day (juice, coffee, tea, coke, etc). Really nice place to stay!
Situated in a former pub by the terminus of the #24 bus, just opposite the old Battersea power station, this hostel was the cleanest I have ever stayed at ! Full marks for that. When you arrive, you are offered a free soft drink, PCs are available at a good rate. They do evening meals - I tried the Thai green veg curry - nice. At breakfast, you can get an omelette as well as cereal. Downside: many steep stairs for those with heavy luggage. Not much privacy in shower, locker broken.
The staff were welcoming and friendly and the hostel is walkable from Victoria Station if you don't mind a 15-20 jaunt. There's a bus, however, that runs regularly right in front of the hostel. The omelettes for breakfast were a nice touch. I wouldn't suggest staying in a 12 person rooms....too many people and not the cleanest. The shower in our room didn't work or had low water pressure, so we had to go upstairs to use the shower and the bathrooms were all upstairs as well. Nice pub though
The staff are absolutely amazing. They go out of their way to tell you the best places to visit, to make you feel at home, and they genuinely are about you there. The free soft drinks and cheap beers available in the main area is soooo amazing, and the rooms are nice and clean. Honestly can't stress how amazing the staff are, especially Bobby and Olly! Thanks for making our three nights there super amazing :)
My second stay here. Still good. I advise to stay in 6-bed room with a balcony. It is quite convenient and there is a good view to Thames and Battersea.

Great place with a really cool lobby/bar area! The rooms had huge lockers with plenty of space for us to fit our bags in. The place is very safe with the lockers and codes to get into the room and building when entering. The staff was really helpful to us as well and gave us a map and directions to all the sights!
Travel joy is a fantastic hostel, just 15 min bus from the city centre, it still manages to feel like an escape from the busyness of London. The staff were so friendly and helpful, Bobbie even took us clubbing one night! It really felt like a big happy family. There was an ajoining pub downstairs that always had a good atmosphere with open mic nights and live music over the weekends. The food was great and reasonably. We had a great time at Travel joy and we would definitely stay there again.
Although it is far from the tube station, the hostel is located just in front of Thames with a bus stop right in front of it. Free soft drinks are a plus. Awesome view. Would stay there again, for sure!
The amenities were great. The hostel offered free coffee, hot chocolate, and soft drinks. The breakfast was good too with made-to-order omelets. There were also free earplugs and information screens in each of the rooms. The beds/rooms/showers were average, nothing special. I think the thing that draws people to this hostel is the social atmosphere...everyone was interested in meeting new people. Staff was alright, not overly friendly or helpful. Food at the pub is average.
pretty good stay. The downstairs is a pub. Pretty awesome
I had a great time here. The staff were friendly and it was really easy to meet people! I appreciated the free soft drinks and the great breakfast with omelettes. The plentiful lockers in the rooms and hallways were great. The only thing that I would have liked to see improved was the cleanliness and desperate male and female bathrooms. But otherwise it was great!
Would recommend this hostel. We stayed in a 12 person dorm. Room was clean and had large lockers. Locks available at the front desk (5£ deposit). Price includes towels, free drinks all day (pop, coffee, etc.), ear plugs, and a great breakfast. Better breakfast than most places I've stayed. Wi-fi is not free (1£/day). The common space also serves as a pub for locals (great way to meet locals). The hostel also hosts open mic nights and bands (cool atmosphere). Great location. Would stay here again
Had an amazing time and met some amazing people! Will be back for sure!
