The staff of the hostel is really friendly! The hostel was pretty clean. I was in the single room, which was a reaaly good value for money! I surely would stay there again.

The staff were very happy to help with information, recommendations and booking tours. Thanks Helen and Marco!! The pizza night was good value.

Only downside of the location, is a 15 minute walk from the promenade passing inside the mall. Depending on the hours the mall closes and has to take a longer path, but the hostel provides transfer to the port from where the tours to the coral reef leave.

very nice hostel, KERRI spent lots of time telling me where I can visit in Cairns. Also shows me around the hostel where everything is, which is very nice. I really appreciated..

One of the best hostels i ever stayed in while travelling! It's just behind the shopping mall. I came to cairns to find a job and somewhere to live and all the staff( Helen, Marco and Micky) have helped me so much with everything! The hostel just has a great vibe. While staying here i did not even go out so much but just hung out at the hostel ad had drinks with everyone here.

it was a very nice hostel the facilities were clean and well stocked, i liked that the kitchen was open late so that you make yourself a late night snack if you wanted to, and the staff is so nice and personable they made sure i was settled in and when i would see them later they would stop and chat and actually would remember what activities I was doing and knew my name. excellent service

Super helpful staff! Nice environment, clean room and bathroom, big kitchen! There's nth more you need for a comfortable stay! Highly recommended! I would like to say a big thank you to Helen and Marco, you made my stay a lot more interesting!!! Will defo come back if I ever had chance to be there again!!!!

Best hostel I have ever stayed in! Helen & Marko are amazing. Made me feel so at home & helped plan by time in Oz. Ended up staying for a week in the end. Very hard to leave...... If you want a relaxed hostel, with great people & a couple of socage nights out, this is the place for you! Thanks again guys. I had a great time xxx

Wonderful hostel, one of my favorites so far, with extremely helpful staff and a great atmosphere. Facilities are good, although you have to pay for wifi and laundry, although that is more or less standard in Australia. The staff are very good at recommending activities to do in and around Cairns.

Helen is an absolute credit to the hostel. All staff were amazing but she went the extra mile and got me on a tour last minute at a very busy time, thanks so so mch!!!

Great! Clean,fabulous helpful staff, quiet but close to the city if you want to go out. Definately recommend it.

Great Hostel, Great Staff, Close to the CBD!

Day staff were excellent, very helpful with local knowledge and to recommend tours. Reception is closed between 12 and 4pm, but it did mean the same helpful staff were back in the evenings which made a nice change from some of the bored travellers you get on the evening shifts at some other hostels. The only criticism would be that it would be better to be closer to the esplanade as you have to walk along some not-so-nice streets to get to the main part of town.

I loved it. I was only there for two days but they make you feel like home. Helen and her husband were fantastic. Thank you!

This was the best hostel that we had during our 10 day road trip through Australia. We already have the plan to come back and then stay longer at Travellers Oasis.
