Lovely hostel, didn't stay long but liked a lot. I was robbed of $70 while there, not the hostels' fault though a room mate leaving very early helped them selves to mine and the other sleeping room mate's money. maybe some lockers in the room could help avoid this in future.

The staff are all awesome and make you feel like family. Only downside I'd give the plce is that you have to pay for air conditioning ($1/3 hrs). Other than that, good stay and I have no complaints. The after hours check-in was great and easy to do.

This was my first time to stay at a backpackers and I was quite unsure about what to expect...but I must say, staying here was a great experience. The staff were extremely friendly, the rooms were nice and the beds were comfy, the bathroom and facilities were clean and the people I met their were amazing! Thank you Travellers Oasis for making my first backpacking experience the best! :) I will definately come back the next time I am in Cairns. I real home away from home! :)

Overall a great place to stay. Only concern was the office closed between 12 - 4 so you cannot store your luggage there at that time, if you need to collect it before 4pm, so security of your belongings at that time is in your own hands. I never had a warm shower there but that wasn't a problem since it was so hot there!

amazing oasis!!

Spent 3 nights at Travellers at the beginning of February and it was a great hostel, The staff were excellent especially John and Gabe. Security is good after 8/9 the doors get locked up, so felt safe. They also arrange nights out to the woolshed, plenty of information on trips out etc. This place is in walking distance of the main bars in Cairns around 10 mins away

I have stayed in over 20 hostels in the last 3 months, and this was easily the best I stayed at. Great location, great atmosphere, friendly and also very helpful staff. The barbecue they have every monday is great, and when I forgot to pack a few things, and left them at the hostel, they posted them to my address in England, which I am very grateful to them for doing. I hope to come back to Australia at some point, and if I come back to Cairnes, this is the only hostel I would want to stay at.

The staff here were amazing. Really clean, organized, friendly. Wonderful atmosphere. Lots of fun organized events. Probably my best hostel experience. A bit of a walk from downtown but they often shuttled us around as well!

SOOOO glad we stayed here. Friendly folks, made lots of new friends, the pool is perfect for cooling down after a hot day, and the atmosphere is absolutely lovely. Loved it!

on arrival we were checked in by the welsh man -John. He couldn't have been more helpfull or efficient. During our stay he couldnt do enough for us and made our stay in the hostel and cairns one to remember.

John (manager) and Kerry were legends . Really welcoming and friendly. Remembering everyone that was staying there and calling them by name. Hospitable and generous. Really helpful and keen to make the most out of everyone's stay there. Sorry I couldn't have stayed longer. Thanks guys - you made Cairns for me. Hels bels xx P.S. great home brew too.,,,

The staff were very friendly & helpful with all our travel needs. The place was simple but clean & comfortable with a lovely pool and fast wifi.

Great service, always friendly, gave travl tips and secrets, the AC cost money to use but worked super well, critical for such a hot area.

It was one of the best hostel i`ve ever been! Lovely and very helpful people, who like their job and know nearly everything about the different tours...

We'd stayed for one night, unfortunately.. service of the staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Atmosphere and facilities was great. I'd definitely recommend this place to others; a very nice place to stay away from home.

EXCELLENT! I didnt want to leave Travellers Oasis as after just under a week there it had become my home. Not only was this one of the most relaxed & chilled hostels I have stayed at, but the staff (Helen, Jonno, Kerri) were by far the friendliest and built a great atmosphere throughout the hostel & all its guests, knowing everyone's name, patiently helping with travel bookings & just generally treating us all as close friends. I miss the hostel & staff already & can't wait to return! Excellent
