At the limerick castletroy you are essentially paying hostel prices for a hotel, although it's a taxi/bus ride away from the city centre it was a welcomed break from the typical hostel experience. Really nice place
Despite the hotel looking fairly new, in the first room we were given, the headboard light kept flickering and had to be turned off, one of the bedside was also broken, and come bedtime, neither we nor the reception staff were able to close the window. We were then given a new room at 9.30pm, which despite having clean bedding and towels, still had remnants of the previous customers and their rubbish in the bins. Not impressed. Noisy corridors. Still awaiting promised phone call from manager...

Great offer for the price. Really clean and enough place in the rooms. A little bit hot, altough the heating was off.
