The hostel is huge and separated into colors. It's a little strange in that way and seems to cause a bit of a gang mentality. No real character and too big and confusing to be a great hostel. Had everything and clean enough so it was a good hostel.

I don't know how this hostel got some good reviews because it was awful. Giant industrial feeling hostel. Dorm rooms dirty double room cleaner. Each wing of the hostel has it's own kitchen, but they are dirty and not stocked well e.g no cups. Bathrooms are gross, even when I was in there directly after the cleaning staff. No comfortable place to sit or relax. Front desk staff were nice. Overall really bad and not recommended.

Excellent position right in the city, close to supermarket etc, you can walk to pretty much everything. Staff were nice. There are little kitchens in the wings and a main one downstairs. I didn't cook while I was there but they were pretty dirty. Not sure if that was just the people who were staying there at the time? I would probably stay there again but do not buy the internet, it's expensive and it doesn't work, and you can get free wifi literally everywhere in the city.

A great place, good value for money, quite good location, not too far from the best spots in town. A supermarket isn't easy to find (turn left at the main street and pay attention on your left). Positive opinion

When I booked the room I didn't know I had booked a room on the Jersey Shore! The staff that checked me in was less then helpful. The room was clean and the bed was made but the door was unlocked. The other backpackers stayed up partying until 5:30am with nothing being said to them by the staff. The kitchen in the morning was a disaster! I had to clear a spot to set a bowl for my breakfast. There was bottles and garbage completely covering the the table, left over food all over the counters.

Bathrooms were dirty & felt grubby, not enough of them for the number of people. Kitchen area also dirty, people left their belongings around in communal areas so felt like nasty student halls. Noisy at night until 2am in kitchen--right next to all the rooms, kept awake both nights. Although I was using the cheap option (2 bed dorms), would expect to have hygienic facilities and some sleep if I wanted to. I got neither. Rooms clean though, wobbly bunks. No free internet points.

Great staff !!! very helpful !! Could me cleaner in the bathrooms though (but may be because of so many people) Rooms clean + Advice : \"the retreat\" : on top-floor, a few rooms only for women ( a room, 2 persons only) Location : perfect !! right in the middle of the city.

Nice hostel. Good location.Kitchen stuff was good enough.Clean all around. But some staff was not very helpful sometimes. and they really need to deal with the key deposit more carefully.

very nice hostel, right in the centre of town! It's all quite new still, the dorms are spacious, the beds are comfy, the bathrooms are clean enough. Unfortunately the kitchens are not too well stocked, but it's sufficient. Nice lounge with big TV and sky and even an outdoor area. The staff is nice, they got iPads for you to use (you have to pay, though). All in all, nice hostel :)

This hostel felt more like a hotel for kids. As an older traveler (30 yrs old) I prefer places that are not over run with youths who just graduated high school. The kitchen area was too small, food was constantly left in the sink, dishes were dirty, and the staff were less than professional. One morning after a rather big party in the "Chill Space" (the entertainment room) there was a passed out drunk french man, who after waking up, demanded that I give him some of my tea.

Really big and confortable lounge room with nice flat screen.. Really good security, in the middle of the city.. The bad thing is that you have to pay for the internet..

The staff at reception here were unbelievably amazing. They were happy to help and offer advice on what to do in the area which really made my stay in wellington enjoyable (being a lone traveler). However the down side was that I didn't get any sleep on either of the two nights stay there. My room was right by the communal kitchen and the other backpackers (most long stay/working in the area) decided to stay up talking, laughing and playing the guitar as well as indoor football.

Great, clean hostel that is close to all important sites in Wellington. Bathrooms were very clean and the only slight problem was that the doors slammed quite loudly if people didnt close them slowly.

my stay was great, except for the guy on the front desk. Made me feel like i was interrupting him when i arrived to check in, and then when I had to go back and ask how to get to my room (after just being handed the key with no instructions) he talked to me as though I was stupid. Only unpleasant part of my stay. Loved the rest of it and definately going back :)
