I liked the hostel quite a lot, but it worried me about how our (stayed with another person) constantly left the door open/unlocked. Looking back on it, we should've said something at the front desk, but still. There is a community of live-ins and this is obvious. It was still fun though.

The kitchen was very crust. Not the guilt of the staff, but the guilt of the backpackers, which did not even wash their own dishes

The hostel is quite big and the kitchen is very dirty. I was sleeping in a four bed dorm and the room was tiny. The beds were really uncomfortable and you could feel every single move of the person sleeping below or above you depending on which bunk you slept in.

The staff are friendly enough and the hostel is clean. The rooms where a really good size and I like the lockers large lockers. I liked the idea of individual kitchens on each floor, but they are far too small for the number of rooms that use them. There is only 1 cooker for about 10 rooms so if its busy then you have a long time to wait. Also when we where there 1 of the toilets/showers was being refurbished which meant that there was only 2 toilets for the floor.

Great place to stay if you're looking for accommodation in Wellington. Only a few minutes walk to some good bars and clubs.

Great hostel, awsome people and atmosphere, perfect location and the beds were pretty good for bunk beds, just the cleaning could be a bit better but it is a hostel after all;) the chill out zone with bean bags and BBQ area was brilliant!!

Especially the citchen was very dirty!!! The beds were horrible and we could understand every word that was spoken in the adjacent room! Furthermore in front of the window there was a parking deck so that it got really bright in the room whenever a car arrived or left. All together it was horrible!

This has the potential to be a great hostel! Outstanding reception staff, good location and excellent housekeeping. However, I actually did not really enjoy my stay here. Most guests are on a 'long term stay' basis which meant they had claimed the bottom bunks and treat the rooms with little respect for others. Common areas were very loud till late and outside guests were able to access the room 4/6 nights during my stay. I didn't get a lot of sleep at this hostel.

My stay was absolutely terrible. My booking had been lost (Trek Global blamed this on Hostel World) and so I was squeezed into the last bed in a room with all guys (I am female and found this extremely uncomfortable). I was promised an upgrade for the second night but this did not materialise and I was left without a room for 4 hours during the second day, despite paying for the facilities (and a bed!) for two nights. Not impressed. Staff were apologetic but not helpful. Dreadful system.

Was not told when check in was until we got there so we had to leave our bags in the lobby for an hour or so. Apart from that, very pleasant stay! Was a bit noisey though

It took forever to find this place. When we finally found it and checked in we were given a room on the ground floor directly next to the kitchen. Literally I could open the door from our room and be standing in the kitchen next to the garbage cans. It was ackward being stared at by people cooking and eating and it was loud. People were up late drinking and socializing. If I didn't have ear plugs there is no way I would have been able to sleep. The room was dirty and possibly under construction.

This place was FILTHY! if staff aren't going to be responsible for enforcing the rules (ie clean up after yourself) then they need to hire a full time cleaner. we stayed for 2 days and on every occasion there were dirty dishes everywhere (numerous floors), flies hovering everywhere and the stench of garbage - probably because they only sporadically emptly the industrial-size rubbish bins and never actually disenfected them. showers equally filthy. place was full of people looking for work. AVOID

Nicest hostel I stayed at in Wellington. Big, but nicely designed with separate zones making it feel smaller than it really is. Kitchens are lacking in equipment but clean. Lots of common space including a decent lounge. WiFi is very expensive.
