The linen is dirty, and there are many mosquitoes in the room.. Except cleanliness, this hostel is comfortable to stay in. I think it is time for a thorough cleaning. Yet, staff is friendly, keep it up!

The staff are wonderful as they are all backpackers but Cliff - the owner - is crazy and full on. He makes everyone really uncomfortable and can be a lot to take on. He gets aggressive really easily and tries to force you to buy things off them. If it wasn't for the rest of the staff then it would've sucked. All Cliff cares about is money.

It was the worst hostel that I stayed. Kitchen, swimming pool and bathroom totally dirty, unorganized, noisy and the employee's Trekkers morning until 3am talking and laughing too loud, I could not sleep. The breakfast cereal with a little milk, which due to poor cleaning, I prefer not to eat. I'd definitely prefer to sleep in the car because the price was not cheap (AUD$80/night). I recommend that you research well before you book any hostel.

We were very pleased with our stay - it was definitely value for money. We were especially impressed with the friendly staff who always greeted us with lovely smiles and excellent service attitude. The location was good - just 2 minutes walk to the nearest bus stop, and we could get tickets to many attractions, as well as transport to and fro the hostel , which was very convenient. Our room, however, looked like it hadn't been swept. The shower facilities were clean, on the other hand.

The room was nice. The bathroom was disgustingly filthy! The other guests were totally abhorrent, and had absolutely no respect for other people in the hostel who were attempting to sleep.

Great friendly hostel with great kitchen facilities and colourful rooms. Need to fix the leaking shower though. Cheers.

I didnt think this hostel was that crash hot for the amount I paid. I would have been happy if I paid around $20 for the stay. Linen was clean and there was parking but toilets/showers were small, no hand soap, no free wireless, no lockable lockers which I was really surprised about. I asked for a mixed dorm and paid accordingly but the girl that was in my room was asked to move to another room so rude!

I've been to this place twice this year and have found it to be friendly and hospitable.Reasonable rates and did like the 4 bed female dorm better than the 6 bdorm ed male/female dorm.

I expected the most friendly people, and the best hostel in Australia or something. That's what they were offering, saying they had won some prizes for that, and to be honest, the hostel is WAY TO FAR from the beaches and the nightlife, the staff was not as friendly as they were supposed to be and it smelled bad. Would not recommend staying here.

This place has a great character, the owners have heaps of knowledge on what to see and do and are genuinely interested in you, really nice people. The staff are also friendly and the people that stayed there when I was there were also heaps of fun. They organise really good value functions and day trips. I would stay there again when travelling up the Coast.
