I enjoyed my stay. The best part was the friendly staff, many of whom are young travellers. The free shuttles were good although I didn't use them , and the location was convenient to buses, and some shops but away from the main beach areas like surfers and broard beach.. Although I am not I am not particularly shy, many people might find that the toilet not having a lock to be a bit of a worry. It was inconvenient not to have free wifi. Paid wifi was similar prices to an Internet cafe.

I left before i even spent a whole night there, they gave me my money back because the girl behind the front desk didnt like what i was talking about... my beliefs were ostracised and i decided i didnt have to take her negativity. The other people were cool... the single toilet bathroom was disgusting...

I had great fun at trekkers! The staff and guests were all lovely and very friendly which made my first hostel experience very easy. The owner is more than happy to assist with tours arrangements, car hire (his own!) and anything else you want to do in Surfers Paradise. Good value, great family like atmosphere.

The worst hostel i have stayed in in Australia so far i paid money for a private room and it was nothing like the pictures on the website the carpets and the wall were absolutely disgusting and instead of a double bed which i paid for i had bunk beds all the pillow cases and bed sheets were stained there were people lying in beds in the hall ways they also said on line free shuttle from the airport but when i phoned them i had to pay $20 each way i would never recommend this hostel to anyone

Trekkers is a very cute hostel in a quiet street but a short walk from the outdated but convenient Australia Fair shopping center and good bus services. The atmosphere was friendly and fun but I would have preffered a bathroom that locked and had somewhere for me to place my belongings while I showered and a locker for my valuables (though I felt safe). I only stayed for one night specifically for a festival and others were doing the same thing and they were very accomodating.

Staff were friendly and helpful, I like that there's a bus into surfers paradise every few hours, and it's not far away...rooms were fine and pretty clean.

We rent 6 people in one room. But had to stay 7. It was short of cheating.
