Loved all the staff here, had a great "big night out" :-) free buses to surfers are handy too and they organised any other travel i needed :-) was kind of quiet when i stayed but still really enjoyed it :-)

will be back, honestly one of the best yet in oz.

Very familiar, nice and atmospheric hostel I definitively recommend this

I liked the location of the hostel and the tv space upstairs. But the hostel looked old and the rooms were dirty, we had a cockroach etc. also the kitchen gets too crowded when you want to cook.

The linen is dirty, and there are many mosquitoes in the room.. Except cleanliness, this hostel is comfortable to stay in. I think it is time for a thorough cleaning. Yet, staff is friendly, keep it up!

The staff are wonderful as they are all backpackers but Cliff - the owner - is crazy and full on. He makes everyone really uncomfortable and can be a lot to take on. He gets aggressive really easily and tries to force you to buy things off them. If it wasn't for the rest of the staff then it would've sucked. All Cliff cares about is money.

It was the worst hostel that I stayed. Kitchen, swimming pool and bathroom totally dirty, unorganized, noisy and the employee's Trekkers morning until 3am talking and laughing too loud, I could not sleep. The breakfast cereal with a little milk, which due to poor cleaning, I prefer not to eat. I'd definitely prefer to sleep in the car because the price was not cheap (AUD$80/night). I recommend that you research well before you book any hostel.

We were very pleased with our stay - it was definitely value for money. We were especially impressed with the friendly staff who always greeted us with lovely smiles and excellent service attitude. The location was good - just 2 minutes walk to the nearest bus stop, and we could get tickets to many attractions, as well as transport to and fro the hostel , which was very convenient. Our room, however, looked like it hadn't been swept. The shower facilities were clean, on the other hand.

The room was nice. The bathroom was disgustingly filthy! The other guests were totally abhorrent, and had absolutely no respect for other people in the hostel who were attempting to sleep.

Great friendly hostel with great kitchen facilities and colourful rooms. Need to fix the leaking shower though. Cheers.
