The staff was very unhelpful. The building itself is an old hotel and a bit odd.

Bathroom was not cleaned on the day I stayed there. The shower head mounting was broken so you had to hold it with one hand! The bathroom was also untidy and the floor wet from the ineffective shower curtain. Apart from the bathroom it was a nice clean and quiet place to sleep for the night.

In general, the rooms were of a reasonable standard. however, it felt very cramped with 9 beds in a room which would normally be used for just one or two. A couple of times I found the other guests to be a little less than desirable. I even found one using my phone charger and listening to my ipod which I'd put on charge for the night leaving me with barely any battery in either. But the staff were very helpful and the rooms were comfortable. Just a shame it costs so much for weekends!

Good breakfast, especially for free, and a helpful staff even if they couldn't fully answer my questions. But it's not a hostel, but a hotel with dorm rooms: no common room (just an uninviting lobby) and no kitchen. My room had one weak overhead light and only two reading lights. Outlets were scarce. The shower was useable but broken. They did change towels every day. Security-wise, they didn't have lockers, but I felt totally safe in the area, even at night. Good location for the museums.

The hotel was very descent taking in to the consideration the price and ratings. Fresh towels every morning, sandwich -breakfast ( could get a toaster though ) , free wi-fi . We were staying for 3nights , most of the time exploring Amsterdam so just to sleep and to have shower mainly. Very clean and safe.

we had a party of 11 and everybody was pleased with the accomodation and service provided, there were originally 10 of us booked in a 4 & 6 ensuite room the staff added an extra matress in the room no problem, everything was clean, breakfast was good, i stayed in the 4room so cant comment on the 6, but the 4room was spacious, only thing to complain about was the heating was couldnt turn down during the night but not a drama, tram stop is right outside to all major attractions, definatly use again

Smoking is officially prohibited but you can feel the smell of grass everywhere. The tall balding guy on the reception was exceptionally kind and helpful.
