Good place if you want to feel alone with just all the mountains that stand around you in this magic place. The staff is here for you if you need something and very helpful. We were in a dormitory of 4 and everything was clean. ;)

Overall an excellent hostel in a beautiful location. One very minor criticism was the poor quality of map and directions provided when we hired bikes.

Probably the best hostel I've stayed in in China! Awesome staff - friendly and incredibly helpful and knowledgable, nice rooms, pretty cheap, great food and not too far out of town. Excellent!

The staff members were amazing. They were very helpful and fun to talk to. The breakfast food were very good. It is very convenient to have a good and comfortable restaurant with the hostel. The hostel is in a great location. However, the WiFi did not work most of the time which was frustrating. Overall, my friends and I had a wonderful time.

This was THE best hostel I have been to in China. You just know it's managed by international people in terms of service, friendliness, cleanliness, ... It is a bit outside of Yangshuo, but that was exactly what I wanted to get away from the crowds.

Fantastic hostel. The girls at the front desks are super- friendly. I wanted to pack them in my bag and take them with me! It's a bit far from town, but on the plus side it's very peaceful, no traffic or noise other than the frogs. The restaurant serves quite nice food, try the apple crumble with ice cream. The only problem I encountered was the permanently wet floors, although this might just be a function of the high humidity and weather at Yangshuo. As soon as I asked they dried the floors.

probably the best hostel in china: - wonderfull helpful and friendly staff - good kitchen - excellent food for a perfect value of money! - perfectly equipped, clean und large rooms - a situation like in heaven. calm, peaceful and on the countryside - but only a short walk (15 mins) to the tourist city of yangshuo.

I loved this place! It's in the perfect location with an amazing view of some small farms and a few mountains. The staff are exceptionally friendly and made an effort to remember my name. I enjoyed their company and their insights on China too. It's friendly and laid-back, plus clean with towels provided.

I had one of the best stays of my ife in paradise-like Yangshuo at Trippers Carpe Diem. Apart from the out-of-town location, everything else stands out in this friendly hostel. The truly local food is glorious and only that and the atmosphere make it worth staying there, but it's the staff (four genuinely lovely girls from Hunan province assisted by some helpful volunteers)who really make the difference. I absolutely recommend it.

We had a fantastic stay at Tripper's Carpe Diem. The rooms were immaculately clean, the food was delicious and the staff were very welcoming and gracious. We stayed for 5 days but wished we could have stayed for 5 months. This was by far the best place to stay in Yangshuo.

The fee for the taxi is too expensive. Otherwise you have no choice to get to the hostel. But its to expensive

Everything has been fantastic, much more than I was expecting! Even though the weather has been 'not great' at all, ;) , you all made my staying unforgettable! Thank you so much for everything, thank you to Tripper for the great job you are doing, you've found the right balance in between the two cultures and the atmosphere you have created, thank's to Jane always smiling and being so professional, to Suzan so sweet, Serena, Steven, Sandy and all of you! We will come back as soon as we can! xxx

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent , quiet location. Minor gripe about the Cafe menu - main meals are listed with salad included, this is not the case. Meals generally can be improved. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider staying at Trippers Carpe Diem again.

It's a nice place to stay with very friendly people running it. They know where to go and are very helpful! The guests during my stay were 95% westerners, if you take this as good or bad is up to you. A bit pricey, especially the food, but still reasonable. UNFORTUNATLEY there is lots of construction going on in that particular location of Yangshuo. During the day it can be very noisy and it is dusty as well. If you plan on spending the whole day hiking/cycling, it is a great place!

The shower wasn't working properly. Only very hot or cold water. That's our only comment.
