This was a great hostel, the rooms were clean and confortable, and the staff was most helpful even after we made a couple of mistakes with the booking.

I had the most wonderful time at this hostel. From the minute I walked through the front door, I felt as though I had just arrived home. I am so glad I stayed.... and even more pleased that I stayed two extra days. I made some wonderful friends, felt welcome, and adored the staff. The BBQ was great fun, and a great way to spend my last night with Tropic Days. I hope to come back very soon. Thank you so much for being awesome!!!!

A clean hostel with a great atmosphere at a good price. Only drawback is the short walk from the city (courtesy transfer available). Stay here. (++ The BBQ is awesome!)

Nice, relaxed and really cozy hostel. Owners and staff were really friendly and helpful. It's about a 10-15min walk into town, and there's a hostelbus going to and from town throughout the day. Free wifi, that works, and PCs to use aswell. It's really worth a stay since it's homey, and has a great vibe, unlike most other hostels.

I loved the atmosphere, and how nice the staff were. even though the locartion was not optimal, they had a shuttle service that ran, and even ran you to places by request. It was a very nice establishment. Book if you can get a spot! It is a great value and worth the very little that it is compared to the other hostels.

One of the best hostels in Australia! I'm very pleased with my stay and will come back soon. The only thing that could make it even bettet is one or two more toilets. Otherwise keep up the good work!

Tropic Days was AWESOME, its the best value for money hostel i have stayed in! The staff are so friendly and will go out of their way to help you with your travel arrangements. I highly recommend you stay here and enjoy relaxing in the hammocks, or simply chilling by the pool. The only negative thing is the distance to the shops. They have tackled this 'problem' by providing a punctual, free of charge shuttle bus which runs several times daily. Definately an experience not to miss.

A litlle bit far from the city center but it's not a problem with the good shuttle service ! Beautiful, original and clean place, this is one of the best place where I stayed during my trip in Australia! I definitely recommend this hostel !

We really enjoyed our stay here and ended extending it by another 3 nights. We stayed in a 3 bed dorm which had it's own kitchen and bathroom facilities shared with the private rooms. The rooms were clean and a good size, each person had a reading lamp and their own plug socket which is great. The atmosphere in the hostel is brilliant and really easy to meet other travellers. They provide a free meal to the Woolshed most days of the week except Pizza and BBQ nights.

A superb place to stay if you don't mind a bit of a walk into the centre of town. The facilities are great and whilst the camping area is tiny you still get access to all the facilities including the swimming pool. By far the hostel's greatest asset is the staff who are friendly and very very helpful. I casually asked for some tips for travel in the area and the advice and resources I came out with gave me two of the best days of my trip. All this without trying to sell me a tour!

The shuttle service was nice, also the free WiFi/Internet! - Please do something against the cockroaches and too lazy/untidy young backpackers! Some behaved as if they just moved out of a home where they had slaves to clean after them. - Please offer an alternative for girls who don't eat pizza as much as they can, but who like beer and who would also like to have a special offer. - Thanks for the excellent help at the desk with planing trips and everything else. Helen is fantastic andvery kind!

We had a bit of a problem when booking with the Hostel World app initially as we thought we had booked a room when we had actually booked a tent pitch! Where we supply our own tent which we didnt have! The hostel did supply us with a tent but still it seemed expensive for a tent. Also, the tents are next to the pool where often knobs would decide to take a midnight dip. And as no staff members stay onsight over night then you kinda have to deal with it. But free tea at night and helpful staff.
