It was actual one of the nicest hostel I have been so fare in the last few months. Bit out of the city, but with a shuttle service, really relaxed and with a pretty outdoor area. The atmosphere is familiar and so comphy. Nice crew as well, can't complain!

My favorite hostel in Australia. Awesome folks, awesome vibe. Definitely recommend it!

Nice place. Clean, friendly staff, many events around the hostel. Not the greatest location, but the free shuttle into town is helpful. Wifi isn't great, but the pool and billiards table on-site are. Would recommend.

This hostel was surprisingly colourful, fun and clean all at the same time. The hammocks were very nice to lay in and the garden was well kept and beautiful. The free wifi was slow during peak hours, mainly because everyone was using it. The bathroom upstairs was nice and the shower hot. Free tea and fresh bread were the highlights in the kitchen. I would definitely stay here again. great staff, really helpful and really cool backpackers taking a break from the party scene.

Amazing hostel. Staff was so helpful with finding tours and the atmosphere was great. It's not a great location but the hostel run a free shuttle to town so that's not a problem. I will definitely come back

charming and off the beaten path, great value and friendly check in. this hostel is located a bit away from the center of the city, but offers free rides in the hour to and from. the highlights were the homey atmosphere, hammocks and never crowded pool.

There wasn't any soap, and the showere looked like you'd come out dirtier than going in, but overall it was really good. Lovely people staying there and lovely people working there, very cheap and I liked that there was a fridge in the dorm and things. Good for the amount I paid, it just wasn't the cleanest of places.

Monday night BBQ, best social meeting, great food!!!!! Don't freak out at how far away it is, they run free buses to town and back!!!! Best idea and so thankful for this :)

Very friendly staff, kitchens and bathrooms cleaned regularly. Overall a very nice atmosphere here. Only downside is the location. Whilst there is a bus that runs throughout the day, the last one is at 9pm, which makes coming back from a night out difficult - cabs are expensive. Otherwise very good and would happily come again!

Lovely hostel, friendly staff, basically a chilled haven. Shame about the location (about 40 minute walk from town). Not a problem during the day as there's a free regular shuttle bus, but difficult if you're going out late at night.

This hostel is great, really clean great kitchen has so many utensils -could do with a new fridge though. The bathrooms are really good rooms are nice and it has a great really friendly atmosphere. Not too party hard but still really sociable. The biggest let down is the location, even though they do out buses on it would be nice to have them more regularly. If you miss the 12:30 you have to wait until 3:30pm for the next bus. Still great though would stay again.

Great hostel. Not too far away from town (15-20 minute walk. Also a shuttle that runs throughout the day) and not to close so you can relax without the hustle and bustle but you can be right in the thick of things in no time. Facilities were great and very clean. Staff cleans everyday. Dorms were clean and beds comfortable. Kerri and Chelsea are two of the hardest working hostel employees I've ever met and also the nicest. They were always there to answer any question or accommodate me any way.

I cannot rave enough about Tropic Days! The Monday BBQ is a must do! It is cleaned daily and the bathrooms are amazingly clean. The outdoor area is great for socializing and meeting fellow guests. The staff are amazing! So helpful with any questions I had and also suggested/booked all my tours for me and they all turned out great! The only SLIGHT downfall is the location, but they easily solve this by offering a free ride to the city every other hour. I'd go back to Tropic days in a heartbeat!

The best hostel in Australia so far!! Relaxing and clean. In a quiet place with free bus to the city all day long. Great staff, very friendly and helpful! Will recommend this place to everyone who visiting Cairns.

The hostel itself was really nice, and the staff were lovely. However we stayed in the camping facilities which were quite cramped. We used one of the supplied tents, and for 2 tall people there was not much room to move in the 2 person tent. We had to leave our bags outside the tent while we slept, it would have been good if there were some kind of outdoor locker facilities for these times. The barbeque night was really good though, and salads and veggie patties were available for vegetarians.
