It has a nice atmosphere and the staff, though not all of them spoke english very well, were all extremely friendly! It's really good to walk to the beach and then have a nice long stroll along and drink cocktails at the restaurants on the beach :) The free breakfast was awesome!

It was horrible. According to www, ALL bungalows have an AC but our was broken.As we told that the reception but they stood dumb. Than the Manager says we booked only Fan. Sorry, we are not amused.By every breackfast they were given us the wrong food. Moreover, the bungalows are dirty, the cleaning every day but very superficial. The curtains were yellowed, sink and toilet calcified,ashtray was not emptied. The terrace furniture we got after 2t ask.beachdistance 1 km and not very nice and wide.

Dear Guest Thank you for your opinion. We give our guest the possibility to book different bungalow types. Your booking was for our fan bungalow. The air conditioner is not broken but switched off. We have other types of bungalows available and if you look at our homepage or on our Facebook page, you will see a complete overview with Photos and Videos of our room types as well as an overview of the area and distances. Our Housekeepers do a very good job every day. The water is a big problem on the island and that might reflect the toilets and sinks as well although our housekeeping tries their utmost to keep it clean. The beach is in fact only 600 meters away on foot but it is, as you have mentioned, not a very wide beach, that is normal in winter time when the water comes up. In summer time its much wider and very nice, quiet and with lots of palm trees for shadow. So if you are not sure about the details or room types, send us a quick email or check our homepage before your booking so we can clarify the information for you. Tip: Use the English version of hostelworld website and mobile app, as information and room information are much clearer as some information is not translated into other languages. Nice clean pool, friendly staff, good area to chill out. Close to a few restaurants but little else around.

Great hostel, more like a hotel with rooms cleaned daily and mini bar kept stocked up. Free breakfast was a continental which was a great start to the day. Wifi great although only 1 person from ur room aloud on at once. A few shops and beach in the area, but bigger town about 400 baht taxi ride away with beach and bars and restaurants. Would stay here again

Dear Vicky Thank you for staying at Tropical Garden Lounge and for your overall very positive review. We have changed our internet policy and issue now one account per person for an enhanced travelling experience. We hope to increase our services for our valued guests like that. Also our shuttle bus runs to Chaweng (the main nightlife and shopping area) almost every day for 80 Baht per person. Other destinations can be booked via our mobile app (available in the app store -> TGL Samui) at a cheaper rate than a taxi.
