This is not a hostel. Its basically an easy rider office with rooms above it. No common area to meet other travellers. Stay there if you have no other option or if you just need a basic bed and washroom for one night. The staff is really nice, but the way the building is made is horrible.
Really basic hostel but you get what you pay for - standard bed and bathroom. There's also a fridge and TV in the room. Facilities provided to lock up belongings are good for big bags. Staff are lovely and helpful. Nighttime security was a bit lax though. Good for one or two nights' stay max.
Not impressed by this hostel. The women in the front desk was rude, but the guys were nice enough. No common area and the 4 dorm room was dirty, smelly and I don't think they changed the sheets before I got there. The bathroom was even worse, I didn't shower there because it was so disgusting. Plus it was very noisy from the street (and a dork barking all night) which woke me up each morning. But BUT it is cheap and you get what you pay for. Near bars and beach. Plus the men was helpful
True Friends was as friendly as they made out! Great beds, wifi ok. Lockers great, even had Television. Staff is excellent and very knowledgeable. Fun, too. There's a book exchange across the way at the TF inn. Comfy comforters. Love this city!
This place lacked a communal area to hang out in. Otherwise was reasonably clean and good enough to stop in for a few nights. Location was great, really close to beach and bar scene.
We enjoyed our stay at True Friends with their friendly staff making our kids feel very welcome. Very helpful staff with assistance in booking whatever tour, scooter or cruise we wanted. Good room with excellent air con!! : )
Staff was very nice and funny. The location is good and it is very cheap, and the rooms are standard. They have a sister property called True Friends Inn which has a better common area, and has an included breakfast for only $1 more. Good hostel, though if I had known before hand that I could stay somewhere with the same management that has a nicer common area and food included for just an extra dollar I would have preferred to do that.
Staff were great and friendly. Dorms had ac and they bathroom was cleaned daily and linen changed daily.
There was no hot water during the whole time I was there (3 days)
Good enough for my one night stay and great that they let me into the empty dorm when I arrived early morning.
Nice, clean, simple room. 4 bed doorm was cleaned every day. No common area. 3 blocks from the beach. The lockers are a little strange, with bars instead of bottom.
I had such an amazing and accomedating stay. The family is wonderful. They cooked for us, took us out and even found space when they were full. It's a basic hostel, mattresses on the floor, no lockers, no crazy backpacker bar but it has amazing heart. Make this place your home in Dalat. P.s cannot recommend the canyoning enough - most fun and best value activity I've done in my 4 months in Asia!
