you get what you pay for, however would suggest shopping around on arrival, no common room, bar etc - just a small reception area. Not ideal for meeting people.

Nice location. However, the rooms were quite small and there wasn't really this Hostel atmosphere. But it was okay if you're only looking for a clean bed to sleep in.

I was staying in a 4 beds female dorm and I had my cosmetics stolen from my cosmetic bag while I was out during the day: an eye blow powder and an eye fixer made in Korea which I bought in Hanoi. Since Western people don't use an eye fixer for their double-edged eye lids, European girls whom I was sharing the room with couldn't have stolen such cosmetics specifically made for Asian face. I'm not telling who's suspicious, but I just want to report this because I was pretty much disappointed.

Great hostel , great location , it quite small but you pay what you get , A/C work well , 02 min from the beach , Highly recomend Booze Cruise and Easy Rider tour . They allow you to take shower after you checkout . Thankyou very much Mr Benny .

DO NOT STAY HERE. horrible hostel and i got $90 stolen from my locker, which apparently wasn't working & you can open all the locker by just lifting the mattress. the manager tried to charge me an extra night and very nastily told me i should just stay home if i can't afford to lose $90. it's not a hostel, just bare, dirty rooms above a travel agency, no place to sit, no life, horrible people, really bad wifi, mosquito-infested. lots of other better options on the same street. dont stay here.

True friends doesn't really discribe this Hostel. Dodgy slow internet that doesn't connect to facebook, no common area or place to sit and socialise other than your own priavte room and staff who are only willing to spend your money is more like it. That doubled with a plank of wood for a mattress, mouldy bathrooms, doors that don't lock makes it an average hostel at best.

clean dorms (apart from the trash in the lockers) and good beds and showers. the place would be great if it had a common area - there is none apart from the entrance/reception. location is great for anything from beach to dining and nightlife.

We were three friends who stayed at True Friends Hostel for about five days and had a blast! One of us had our birthday during that period and the manager (Benny) bought us a cake and took us out for dinner and drinks. After a couple of days we went out on a "easy rider-trip" with Benny and Boo for three days. The trip was worth every single dong and we had a great time together with the other guys on the trip. I'd gladly recommend you staying at True Friends Hostel. You wont get dissapointed.
