Staff was super helpful and knowledgeable, facilities are kept very clean and are sufficient for everything -- quiet spaces, loud spaces, cooking, eating, etc. spread out over a pretty big property. Top-notch breakfast and dinners

A very good hostel; nice staff, nice rooms, nice people and good food. The only thing that was not great about this hostel is it's location, because it's a short busride away from the beach. The best thing about this hostel was all the nice people working and staying there, and the great atmosphere.

A party hostel. I loved the trips they organised and the nights out. generally a good hostel. The cleanliness could be improved, bathrooms are in a bad state.

A really good hostel, a bit expensive. but worth the money. Every day they got nice excursions on the island, and the staff is really fun and helpfull. The breakfast is also really good, with fresh juice and fruit. They have a small pool and a nice garden with a lovely terrace. The dorms are also really nice, and it is not a really noisy hostel. All in all one of my favorite hostels.

I was so surprised by this hostel- I was imagining it to be something great (or at least something different from all the other hostels)- but it really wasn't. The dorms are cramped (11 people in a small room sleeping head to head or toe to toe), guest kitchen was small-ish, where only 1 person can cook at a time, and it was lacking a good hang-out area. On the positive side, their breakfast was fantastic. Overall, decent, just not great.

The staff at tucano house are all amazing people. I am a vegetarian, and the chef prepared some of the best Vegetarian Meals for me that I've had to date in south America. Everyone is incredibly helpful, the rooms are great and I would 100% recommend this hostel to everyone. :)

The most fun I've ever had in a hostel. The people that work there are super amazing. The people I met from around the world were too cool. The best part of the stay was the organization. There were planned outings daily, delicious hostel dinners, and crazy nightly outings. It's in a great location close to bars, public transit & taxis. If you're in Floripa, you should Definitly stay here. I loved it. I'll be back here soon for sure.

Tucano is a magical place! The staff is friendly like a family, they got soul. Daytrips were outstanding same as the Dinner-Mottos every night. We´re really looking forward to visit Tucano again in the future!

Good hostel, trips to the beach in the day and to bars/clubs at night. Watch out for the stray dogs!

Tucano House is awesome! I stayed here 10 nights and would 100% stay here again if I go back to Floripa! Tons of young people staying there, very social environment, really easy to meet people. Ziza, Leo, and the rest of the staff are super friendly and do a great job of planning day trips to great beaches, and planning parties to go to at night. Dinner is excellent and relatively cheap; Juca is a great chef and a cool dude. Look no further, do yourself a favor a stay here!

The staff at this hostel is great and there are daily tours and dinners organised so if you are travelling alone this is a good option & friendly hostel however there are a couple of negatives. The hostel is a bit of a trek to the nearest beach so if you are in Floripa for the beaches it's worth looking for something closer. The hostel also feels a bit cramped and generally cleanliness is quite poor. Rooms don't get cleaned unless requested and standards, also in communal areas, aren't great.

The staff are what make this hostel great. When you get there you will find out for yourself. Not to mention the great building, the great food, and the great activities.

My stay over the Carnaval week at Tucano House was great fun. I believe most of the credit goes to both the well organised staff and the layout of the hostel itself which has an excellent communal area where you can easily meet fellow guests. There are tours every weekday led by the ever energetic Leo which takes the hassle out of getting to Floripa's harder to reach beauty spots and is a great way to chat and hang out with new people. Similarly the nightlife is well organised. Just book it.
