Jean was a great host and always there to help, especially when it came to organising our day trip to Hahei. The hostel used to have a bar in the outdoor area, which I was disappointed to see had been shut down (it has since been taken off the list of the facilities though). They allow guests to bring their own alcohol though and tell you the cheapest places to head to, which is a nice touch. Free breakfast is always a plus and the kitchen has everything you need. A very pleasant stay overall.

I really enjoyed my stay in Turtlecove. The staff tried to make everything possible to make one feeling at home and comfortable. Jean has always had an open ear - thank you Jean! I stayed even longer, than I've had planned, because it's a very good place to relax and enjoy the surrounding area.

Solid hostel. Everything is fine, only bummer is the 11pm lockdown of the common areas.

Turtle Cove was by far the best hostel I have stayed in! Its actually more of a small lodge than a hostel. The lodge has several different cabins for regular guests and one large cabin for backpackers. Because of that, the group of backpackers that stay is very small and offers the place a really intimate feel. While there's no WiFi the lodging is absolutely perfect if you are looking for beautiful surroundings and a small, comfortable, peaceful stay

Jean was very friendly and welcoming on my arrival. Rooms spacious and bathrooms spacious too. Beds very comfy and don't squeak!! So close to town and supermarket. Hot water beach tour will pick you up right outside. Free breakfast included of either toast or cereal, which saves a few dollars! Would definitely recommend a stay here! Thanks again Jean!! :)

Despite us changing our travel plans last minute the staff at the hostel were extremely accommodating and very helpful on arrival.

Friendly and inviting hostel with wonderful owners, I felt very at home. Wasn't too busy or noisy and the kitchen and living area were big enough to accomodate everyone. Showers and kitchen clean and modern. Location excellent for town centre, iSite and New World Supermarket. Wish I stayed longer!
