clean rooms and sheets,you cant ask for much more at that price

I got an air mattress. Was not particularly the best sleep i had but it was definitely worth the money. No wifi was pretty annoying. They can call a cab which will arrive within 5 minutes. Very close to JFK and a short walk from the closest subway station. overall, worth the money..

The room was tiny, I could barely open my baggage. It smelled, and the painting was peeling from the walls. The shower was not working on my floor, so I had to use the one in the basement. There was no hot water, it was only just above freezing temperature. When I complained about it, they only said there IS hot water, only not THAT hot. Although the hotel had a very nice gym and pool, if you need an exercise, it may be the place for you. Also, there is a 24 hour reception.

The surrounding area is not the best neighbourhood of new york (brooklyn). Please note that it is not a typical bagpackers hostel; also local people rent rooms. My room was old, small and dirty. A lot of noise during the night. Location is about 40 minutes with metro from Manhattan. I would not recommend it as an accomodation in new york.

We encountered several issues: 1. The description on hostels.com encouraged couples and we were under the assumption we would be able to share a single bed room. When we went to check in, we had to take a double room. This wouldn\'t have been an issue as long as it was delineated on the website. 2. This was way too expensive for the quality - poor location, no lights in the room, tv but no working channels, no kitchen.

I don\'t recommend this place if you are traveling by yourself. It is kinda far from everything and you have to walk around 3 or 4 blocks to get to the subway and there\'s nobody on the streets. The place is not only a hostel, they have people actually living there and there were some crazy people while I was there. I woke up and went to bed with people screaming in the hallways... It\'s scary! And my reservations wasn\'t made when I got there, I had to pay again and lost my money to the web site!

Too expensive for what it is. The corridor was stinky. I liked the atmosphere.

hairs in the bed!, less helpful stuff, no fridge, no internet, sometimes strange restroom situation (but some stuffmenbers were kind of nice!)

Room was small, but i enjoyed my stay, im,still here. I extended my stay.

No internet, showers and room are totally dirty!! Worst hostel ever!!

Not the best location, got told a cop was shot in the face somewhere there recently, not far from the trainstation but not recomended at night... I left after one night
