Beautiful cottages on the beach a little ways away from party central. Close enough to walk if you want to join in, far enough away that you're not kept up till dawn if you have other things you want to do. The owners and staff are incredibly helpful and really take pride in providing an excellent experience to all their guests. Would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone.

I thought that I would be staying much closer to the beach (in the main compound rather than up the hill in the forest). I felt a bit unsafe at night knowing that I was the only person in that part of the lodge. Very friendly staff, lovely location

Very nice if you just want to relax, nothing for the party people.

i was 100% satisfied with my experience at Twisted Palm, the accommodations, food, location, staff and even Maasi security guards were an absolute delight.

had an amazing time! the masai security team were great, we spent the days playing football with them. great place to stay, nice rooms, with good clean bathrooms. amazing beach which goes for miles. very remote hotel. but so relaxing and a great great place to spend some time relaxing and having fun on the beach.

My only negative comment would be that the sun loungers are uncomfortable and need a cushion on them

It would be good to have activities to be able to do in the hotel.

We spent five nights in the lodge and we are quite satisfied. It was clean and secure. In the morning during the low-tide one could walk up to the coral reef and in the evening swiming was excellent. The only thing we didin\'t like was lack of electricity and running water. There was a temporary electricity-problem on Zanzibar during our stay in December 2009.The electricity and water was delivered by TWISTED PALMS only 6h/24h.We were unhappy that nobody told us that before we paid.

Dear Mrs. Ignatowska, thank you for your positive comment! The problem of electricity is, as I told you during the briefing, in all the island and not only at Twisted Palms. During the check in we explained to you, as we do with all our guests, the electricity problem and the generator timetable. Anyway we thank you because you booked for 1 night and finally, in spite of the cut of power, you decided to stay with us 4 nights more. The management of Twisted Palms

Had an amazing stay! If relaxing is what ur looking for its just perfect. A bit far from the airport but other than that i had an excellent stay! Food was yummy....and not expensive. Staff were very friendly as well. I will def go back!

This is the perfect place if you r looking for a good rest, besides enjoying the beautifull place itself, because the staff is very approchable and warm and are always making sure everything is ok.Definetly a place to come back and i d recomend it without a doubt.

Great hostel. Friendly staff and good value for money. On the quieter side of the island, so good to relax. It's not on the best swimming beach in Zanzibar, but only about 45 mins walk on the beach to better swimming beaches in Paje.

the Italian owners are lovely and very helpful, the massai askaries are awesome!

very nice and peaceful. ideal for getting relaxed and enjoy the sand and the tides.

Great place to stay if you need to relax, stayed there for 4 nights, excellent food with great staff.

Amazing place! The rooms were clean, spacious and just a few metres from the beach (which is very quiet, with some good snorkeling), the staff were great, and you can organize just about any activity on the island through the owners at reasonable prices. The restaurant has a creative menu that changes daily, and serves the best food we\'ve tasted in Tanzania (especially the crab penne). Recommended without reserve!

Thanks. We had a great time!
