the hostel is located in the long street, which is really great! There are a lot of shops and bars near the hostel! Im not sure how safe it is in the hostel, because there are no safes and everyone can get into the hostel. And its not that clean though. I stayed for only one night and for that it was more than okey, but i can imagine if you want to stay longer, then you will find a better one:) i mean the staff is very kind and we had a great time, although it wasnt really not clean.
Seemed disorganized. No ac and was very warm. Great location. Seemed to be quite a few long term guests who just sat and listened to very loud music all day. An attempt to break into a secure locker was reported to me. An average hostel that was cheap and well located. Would only use as a last resort if I was in Cape Town again.

Well located, but that makes it also very noisy at night (cars and people). It is cheap, but that also means not always vere clean or no toilet paper...
This hostel was alright. It was in the middle of the centrum, at Long Street. This is a street with restaurants and ho(s)tels. Our private room was quite small. The toilets were sometimes a bit dirty. The staff was helpfull. For Cape Town, Value for Money was good here.
Your friends staying here might be playing music outside around 9-10 o'clock. Also had a snoring roommate. Male bed has really small room between your bed and the one above you etc etc. Location is close from the busy part of the city. Good if you are trying to explore the city vs. going to the mountain or beach
