Very nice and clean hostel. Good wifi that works everywhere. Cool movie room. Kitchen available for use. I really can't think of anything negative about this hostel. I would definitely recommend for a nice stay.
This is not a typical hostel experience. Genova has a much less touristy, small town feel where everything closes early. The hostel is closed from 1200 - 1530 for cleaning and if you're not back to the hostel before 130 am you'll be locked out. This really wasn't an inconvenience at all, though, and considering the value for the money, I didn't mind it. The hostel was small and had a warm friendly feeling to it.
This hotel has a great vibe, great kitchen, met lovely people and good location - but my issue was that I booked a 6bed room, got put in it, but then left the room one morning to come back to the same room, only to find they has added an extra bunk to make it an 8 bed. It wouldn't have bothered me that much but they moved all my stuff to do it, and when I asked the staff about it they were not apologetic at all. It is a good hostel, was just an odd situation.
Best hostel I have stayed in to date. Staff were more than helpful. Really clean rooms. Wi fi was a little slow. Awesome cinema room. Lots of Australians here when we stayed which was good for us :) about a 10 minute walk to centre. Highly recommend
Very nice hostel, very clean and in a good location.
Kitchen and lounge area were awesome, the rooms were spacious and free breakfast was good. The staff were pretty good and lots of additional extras to help with making the most of your time in Madrid ie walking tours etc
The hostel itself was amazing. Absolutely loved it and the facilities. The staff were ok - it didn't feel very welcoming, but we did arrive with a bus load of other people...
Nice new and clean hostel. Easy to find and good access to the metros. Staff really helpful. Breaky for 3 euros really worth it. Has lots of facilities from cooking to laundry room. Only a couple bad things doors slam quite a bit and my hubby and I were on a girls floor and they would get really early to blow dry their hair and continually slammed their doors not thinking of others. The last night the aircon was not turned on and there was no air circulation but normally it was freezing
The hostel is really nice except the kitchen, which is among the worst I've used. Considering how big the hostel is, I can't believe they have only 2 burners - not 2 stoves, but 2 burners. You actually have to wait in line to cook something or wash up. It was very messy as well. The kitchen NEEDS to be cleaned more than once a day. The kitchen does have an ice maker and a large fridge. The rest of the hostel is great though with nice clean rooms, great bathrooms, and a good vibe.
I was very happy with this hostel except for the upper bunk. I don't mind climbing, but I COULD NOT get my leg up to the 3rd rung of the ladder. Maybe if there was one more rung, placing them closer together, I could have done it. I was very lucky that my roommate let me have her lower bunk. Otherwise I would have had to pull the mattress off of the bunk and sleep on the floor. Also, using the internet was frustrating because it didn't work and then they had to change the password.

Great hostel I highly recommend. Very nice facility.
The best hostel i've ever seen! Everything so clean, nice and well organised. Great bath- and bedrooms. You're allowed to take your own drinks inside. The pubcrawl is good but the tapas tour and (free) city tour of Erica was soooo nice and good value for money! Location is good, nearby shops and the metro and 15/20 minutes walking to the main tourist attractions but that's ok. Can't mention a bad point!
For €14 a night I expected the worst, and got the best. Best bathrooms I've ever had in a hostel, great dorm rooms. Our flight was delayed 8 hrs meaning we missed a nights accommodation and they took that off the price of our stay. Went to the flamenco show with the hostel for €13, Pablo the host did a good job, lots of energy- the right kind of person to be working at a hostel. Overall very very impressed. Cinema room also a big plus- comfy place to sleep before check in time!
Me and my girlfriend went to Madrid for 3 days and stayed at U Hostels. We loved it! The atmosphere was great, everyone was very very nice. They had activities planned for every day, be sure to check them out! They have a free tour of the city, with a great guide (Pablo! This guy gave us one of the best tours we had, ever! And he looks a lot like Howard Wolowitz, from the Big Bang Theory). We had a room with a private toilet, and the room was awesome! Just like in the pictures here at the site!
Great hostel, everything you could possibly want from a hostel. The staff were excellent, especially Pablo who looked after everyone and ensured the guests had a great time. Thanks!
The U Hostel is the best hostel I have ever been. The rooms are clean and so is the bathroom and kitchen. The common facilities are awesome (best tv room ever). The staff is very helpfull and the activities promoted by the hostel (free walking tour, tapas experience, pub crawl) were very nice. I don´t have any bad things to say about my stay. It was all pefect

Ultra modern hostel, excellent facilities and amazing common areas on each floor. Great wifi connection, clean rooms. Only thing I would say is the top bunks are quite high. Bike tour is a must but be careful on the roads!
The staff was incredibly friendly at UHostels! It has a pretty great location—right in between two metro stops and close to the city center. Didn't have a chance to try the free breakfast due to my schedule. I would definitely stay here again!
Definitely fits description of luxury hostel. Big rooms and beds. Full kitchen, good wifi, outlets galore. Very friendly and helpful staff.
