U-RIN-AN is the first old private, combined cafe and guest house in
the Okayama region. The house is a traditional Japanese wooden
structured building that boasts a history of 100 years. It is located
in the famous Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, and is very close to
the Ohara Museum of Art.
U-RIN-AN is popular among both Japanese and foreign tourists. It is a
great place for guests to relax and enjoy each other's company. It is
also a most convenient location to enjoy walking around the historical
Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter area.

Cancellation Policy
This property has a 3 day cancellation policy.Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.
Things to Note
Rooms will be assigned depending on the number of staying guests. It
is possible that you have to switch rooms if should you are staying
for more than one night.
The guest hous turns into a cafe from 11 AM untill 6 PM. Some of the
rooms serve as an additional space for customers during shop hours.
Every person staying at the guest house is offered one free drink at
the cafe which is also well known for it's 'Happy Pudding' (Shiawase
Pudding).
During the cafe hours you can rest in our additional living room which
is only open to staying guests and staff members. Unfortunately we
cannot offer any private rooms.
Check in time is from 6:30 - 8 PM. Should you arrive later for some
reason please don't hesitate to give us a call.
Kitchen, shower and toilet are all shared. Shower times are from 6:30
- 10 PM and 6 - 9AM
The kitchen can be used to cook your own food from 6:30 PM - 10 AM the next day.
We have a laundry machine which is available for free. The drying
machine costs 200 Yen.
There is no curfew but all guests are kindly asked to keep their voice
down after 10 PM.
The Checkout time is 10 AM. You can leave your bags with us on your
checkout day and come pick them up later if you like.
The rooms are classical japanese style rooms. You will sleep on Tatami & Futon.
There is no air conditioning which means that it can get very hot
during the summer period. There are a lot of fans (senpuki) available
for your use thought.
Security looks are available free of charge. Measurements are (33cm x
31cm x 32cm)
There is free WiFi available throughout the whole guest house.
The guest house does not have a parking lot. Please park at the paid parking lot near the hotel.
Rental bicycles are available.
Payments are by cash only. Credit cards are not accepted.
There are shampoo, soap and hair dryer at the guest house. Please bring your own towels and pajamas and other amenities you need.
