Amazing Hostel, really sociable, helpful friendly staff and great location!

Hostel was awesome. Just be aware of the abuse you will get from Emma. Couldn't have been in a better place when the blackout hit.

Good hostel in an excellent location in the centre of San Diego. A little pricey for that you get, our room was boiling hot all day long and the fan didn't seem to do anything. Best to chill out in the common room and meet others staying their. Prefect for a few days!

Overall I had a great time. Meg, Jess, Dave, Omar, and russle all helped make my stay smooth and were a lot of fun to party with as well. The hostel is in a great location, and while not right on the beach, it is very easy to get to the beach by bus that costs $5.

Awesome awesome awesome!!! I had the best time here! Met some great people the staff were great!! Meg the manager is so helpful and nice and u can see that in all the other staff... They encourage alcohol, theres a great kitchen its located in the gaslamp area with the clubs an pubs walking distance away! I love San Diego an USA hostels!

I had a great stay at USA Hostels in SD. The staff made a huge effort to make everyone happy. There were many social activities offered. I highly recommend the Wednesday night pub crawl, since you're already in the Gaslamp district. They also offered us a hearty supper on Wednesday night - awesome! There are minor things I wish they could improve. There was poor ventilation in the bathrooms, which lent itself to unpleasant odors. Also, the mattresses were a tad uncomfortable.
