I have been travelling with four friends for about 6 months and every hostel we have stayed in have been much cheaper and always managed to put us in a room together. During our stay we were split up, which was fine, however the girls staying in my room were also on there for that night so I think that for the cost of the hostel there needs to be more organisation to allow friends to stay together where possible, even if it means going in to a larger dorm as we would have preferred this.

the showers on the 3rd floor are incredible for hostel showers! all in all a good hostel, it's a pity SF hostels cost so much or I'd be inclined to stay longer. sweet little bar down the road called owl tree - do go. MUNI isn't too far away and the staff and security were excellent. If I'm in SF backpacking again I would stay again.

this is the best hostel i have ever lived in. the kitchen is well equipped, the common room is big, the staff are helpful. i did have a good time living here. you pay few bugs more, but you gain way more from it than other hostels.

Love walking into a hostel where they're playing cool music, and the downstairs breakfast area is really good for socialising. Very handy for Union Square & Downtown, just be careful and turn right out of the door, rather than heading into the Tenderloin.

Staff members were awesome in particularly Alina and Kim at the front desk. Also staff members Hannah, Stevie, Chung and Elen made my trip most enjoyable in San Francisco. This hostel was clean, central to SF. This hostel was clean, central to SF. Staff members are great and friendly and would make you feel welcome and also very knowledgeable.

Stayed in mixed dorm room which had plenty of space and comfy bunks. Breakfast was good and general facilities, were good, spacious and clean. Could be a few more toilets on the floor but never had to wait for long at all.

Clean bathroom and shower facilities, great basement with pool table, foosball, commercial kitchen, and even a theatre, lots of lounging space to do work. I loved everything about the hostel except the location. It's so close to the Tenderloin which is such a disgusting place to walk through.

Great hostel! clean, value for money, facilities are great and common room at basement is being renovated so will be even better. I wish more hostels around were like this one.I will be back to SanFrancisco and I am not going to bother to find another place; this is the one.

The hostel is great, but a little too pricey for all the amenities they offer, the location is good just be wary of the homeless people who wonder up and down the streets but they are harmless. The staff are great but not all are well informed with city routes some were greater than others. However breakfast is excellent and the atmosphere is kinda ok nothing special

very friendly and helpful people at the front desk, it was my first time as alone-travelling-senior and it was nice to find contact to many people from all over the world.
