Great place to stay. The staff are very friendly and they organise a ton of great events. Really great place to stay if you want to explore San Francisco.

Good place to stay wtih excellent facilities. Downsides are you have too show your card to reception every time you enter the door for security reasons. The bar has no music and serves no drinks during the week.

the first room felt like what it would be like to be in prision very small. Staff were great location is ok, kitchen was rank early in the morning, a business more than an experience but ok

This hostel has made the spot on my best hostels to stay at list. The rooms are good, the staff is friendly, ample showers/sinks for everyone, kitchen, lounge, social mixers, and walking tours. Plus they book airport shuttles for you! Free breakfast too! Location is a short walk to the main buses and BART. I would definitely stay here again when I'm in San Francisco.

Thank you very very very much for storing our backpacks for us while we did Bay to Breakers. We tried to pack light thinking we would have to take our stuff with us after checking out before the race but were so grateful that we didn\'t.

One of the best hostels I have stayed at in the US. It is well managed has decent facilities that are clean. Highlights: auto-locking key card doors, large lockers in rooms with outlets, outlet and small shelf on lower bunk, clean and neat bathrooms. Lows: most of the facilities like kitchen, lounge, etc., are in the basement, stairwells are narrow, neighborhood might not be the best for all people.

Excellent facilities and a mixed crowd of people staying... the free walking tour with Brendan was great, good intro for the city and some fun facts... Free pub crawl was pretty lame though. All in all a great hostel witha good central location and helpful staff.

This was the second time I stayed at this hostel however this time I was travelling alone. Although the hostel itself is fantastic, a brilliant free breakfast, free wifi and my bed had a shelf, lamp and two plug sockets so was brilliant to charge phones etc. However, although during the day the location of the hostel is brilliant - very central an easy 10 minute walk to Market Street - at night I did not feel safe walking Post Street alone and so felt a bit confined to the hostel.

Having to show key AND receipt every time I walked in the door was a bit annoying.. Thought it would be fine just with the key but the receipt is a bit overkill.. Rooms were good and clean although a house keeper decided to vacuum the floor while i was asleep (in their defence, it was 11am so i should have been awake) Downstairs staff were great and breakfast was nice. GREAT LOCATION FOR FENWAY PARK!!!
