Free booze on Saturday nights, nuff said

Great place to stay if you're visiting San Francisco and want to be in the center of town!

Well run. clean hotel with 4 bunk beds /room at $40 per night very profitable, as well..the kitchen is very well designed with at least 4 sinks for washing dishes, spaced by drying stations, the stoves are arranged in an L shape, with an island in the middle, very well designed to accommodate many people comfortably...many international young people in the dining area give it a European feel. Free internet with your own computer, but not so cheap by the hour in the computer room.

I liked to stay in this hostel, but it has a very strange smell, and it's not so clean either. The location and the facilities are very good.

A good choice of hostel when staying in San Francisco. Clean rooms and felt secure. Easy walk to Union Square and plenty of transport. Great to have free breakfast available too.

A great location that can get you pretty much anywhere in the city. Good staff and facilities.

Good location (a bit out of the tourist area but with excellent public transport). Very clean, with the exception of the kitchen which could be untidy because many of the guests didn't wash their own dishes (clearly not the fault of the staff). Staff were excellent.

Weather just passing by (like me), or staying for some more, you'll definitely enjoy it. If going back, I'd surely try to stay there.

The elevator smells bad and the iron door could be fired.

In general I think this hostel is good in every aspect: location, facilities, cleanliness n staffs. I like the activities organized by the hostel, the staffs are really friendly. I like the classic architecture of the building as well, and it's definitely a worth of money given its ideal location as well. One friendly tip is tht one shd book thief airport shuttle through the hostel, it' s slightly cheaper than ordering it online by your own.

Extremely helpful front desk which provides lots of help with booking tours and what not. Rooms are pretty well laid out.

This is THE best hostel I've ever stayed in. And I've stayed in a lot of hostels!

good location, easy access from Union Square. If you need is just a bed to sleep, this is it. But don't expect more.

I loved staying here. Staff was helpful. Close to many bus lines. Good breakfast. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Couldn't ask for more out of a hostel

We had a room facing the street one floor up and it was very noisy with people partying on the street at night. I stayed with my two daughters aged 10 and 16 and they enjoyed the atmoushpere felt very welcome and comfortable.

The deisgn of the hostel suits a backpacker perfectly, free wifi, secure lockers, individual bedlights and electrical outlets, plenty of share bathrooms (cleaned daily) and a large kitchen/bar area for socialising. It's a fun vibe at this hostel, I went on the free walking tour and pub crawl put on by the hostel and enjoyed both, not only getting to meet new people but seeing lots of San Fran at the same time. Would stay here again.

First time in a hostel, it was a great experience. The staff were great and very helpful, you really felt like they wanted you to make the most of your time in SF! Will definitely stay here again
