Clean, good security and staff, free ear plugs, could have a little better breakfast, but overall, very good. Would stay there again.

Good hostel, but don't walk there from Civit Center BART station, take the next one. The area south of the hostel seems quite dangerous. Other than that, nice staff, free breakfast, free and fast wifi, quiet at night, close to the city.

Nice hostel and was nice to have bunk bed with some privacy around them fitted with lights and electrical sockets.

Quite expensive, but worth it for the accommodation you receive :)

I would stay at this hostel again, my only complaint is that the wifi wasn't always the best in the rooms. Sometimes you got a good enough connection and other times, you couldn't do anything. The place was clean, staff helpful and a short walk from Union Square so centrally located.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. Daily activities inc. pub crawls & free walking tours (which was excellent). Bathrooms, bedrooms & communal areas are thoroughly cleaned everyday & having only 4 to a room is great. The location is also good; central & getting to other parts of SF is easy by walking or bus. Power outlets, lights & a shelf are all part of each bed. Bring a large lock if you want to use the lockers as they don't fit small ones. Already recommending to others!

The little things make this one of the best places I have stayed. Partitions on the bunk beds make them private, and they have shelves with power points so you can charge your phone by your bed. The rooms are super clean and all of the cleaning staff I met were super friendly. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a free breakfast. It is over priced for a hostel but its worth it for the little extras!

This is the second time I've stayed here and I will stay here again and hopefully again and again! It's easy walking distance to shopping and public transport. There's activities happening every day/night. The showers are awesome and plentiful. When visiting San Francisco this hostel is my first port of call and I always hope there are beds available.

My friend and I Stayed in a private room with ensuite. When we arrived the room smelled terribly of urine. We asked the staff at the front desk if there was any chance of moving rooms, but the hostel was fully booked. When we went out the next day they had the carpet steamed cleaned and left a bottle of champagne as an apology. We were stoked that the carpet was cleaned so the bottle of champagne on top of that was awesome. They have lots of organised tours and activities aswell. Great place!!

Small, Smelly Carpeted room Poor wifi-connectivity A strange hostel which shuts down the kitchen area and fridge most of days and after 12am. So if you get back from trips hungry, no access to your own food. No milk for breakfast A very weird and old school-kind-strict policies and icing to them were staffs’ attitude. As if for first time they got to take things in control.Sad! In short, the video ads, awards they have won, I made my choice based on those and it was a terrible mistake

USA hostel in San Francisco a perfect hostel for solo travelers, they have plenty of activities for you to meet other people. Friendly staff and a pretty central location. I highly recommend Natalie's walking tour of the city, a great way to get your bearings, hear about the history of some of the monuments, buildings and areas. Highly recommended!

great hostel! they have free walking tours that explore the city in a fun and convenient way. The guide had many interesting and lesser known anecdotes about the city and made this foreign city felt more intimate. The room is standard which i have no complain about. hostel also provide free breakfast, i made pancake for the first time! :) The location is good. It's a few blocks away from the train/bus station. The hostel also has shuttle bus to and from the airport which made it very convenient.

Nice, big, modern hostel. Good location next to union square although a fair walk away from Fisherman's wharf, Pier 39, Alcatraz landing etc. Great tours led by staff at hostel - fantastic introduction to the city. Good general facilities - always a clean bathroom available, massive variety at breakfast, helpful staff.

This is by far one of if not the best hostel I have ever stayed at. The staff is great, the security if excellent (you need to get through 3 doors, one of which is by the check-in/out counter and thus has staff watching it 24/7), the price is right, it's really clean, and in a pretty good location! This is the second time I've stayed here, and it's been great both times. Not to mention the free events!

Really clean and central hostel. The staff are really friendly and know the city very well, making it incredibly easy to work out what there is to do each day! They have this cool travel board which shows you the 'must do' things in San Francisco, which is an incredibly great idea in a city where there is so much to see!
