The hostel was beautifully decorated and set back from the main road on a quiet side street. The rooms were clean and had air conditioning (only on from 6pm-11am, so don't plan to spend the day in your room). If you do not leave town the evening, the owners allow you to store your bags during the day free of charge. You can also take a shower after checkout time for 80 baht!

We had a very pleasant stay in this hostel. Rooms are spotlessly clean. The owners are friendly and helpfull. The only downside is their location, although very quiet, it is a bit out of town. But then again it is easy to take a taxi or public bus to the center. Free breakfast is basic but everything you need.

It´s a lovely place. We had a double room and it was clean and comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was included and consisted of coffee and tea, cute Little Sandwiches, fresh fruit and vegetables, crereal and toast. So you it´s definitely worth the Money. The common area is really nice with a fish Pond. And the staff was friendly and helpfull. It´s is a bit far from the main sights but close to MRT Station.

I spent one night with my daughter in a two bed room, all was excellent, I loved the design of this hostel and the very nice atmosphere. I can only recommend this place, even for single traveller, my daughter recommended it, she slept in a dormitory and she feld very well. The best place on Bangkok ! Maria

Overall Udee was really really great. The place was modern, very clean, and the beds were more than comfortable. The rooftop sitting area was also a really nice place to unwind after a long day. The neighborhood is very authentic and neat, however the hostel is located quite far from the BTS (Saphan Kwai). Expect to walk about 15 minutes, or pay 20 baht for a moto taxi.

This was our first stop & we couldn't have picked a better hostel. The staff were friendly & the hostel & it's facilities where very clean. They gave excellent advice on what to see & how to get there. At first we where unsure of the area, as it is a little out of the typical touristy area. But if you want to see the real Bangkok this is a perfect hostel. There are some great bars & restaurants you just have to wander out. I would happily recommend it & look forward to staying there again.

In General a very good hostel. Apart from the location which is quite far off there was just One thing to be aware of: if u arrive to early (checkin is at 2pm!!!) u might have a problem. We arived at 6am we had to pay extra for breakfast and even shower as we hadn't checked in yet... And therfore not classified as guests yet. Made me real angry. Also no place for us to lie down and rest, as the downstairs reception area is not designed for that. And the rooftop is only for guests too... rrrrgh

you could suggest to guests that if they are leaving early int he morning, to pack the night before, in order to avoid making excess noise disturbing the other sleeping persons in the morning. Also that the doors should be fixed, i've stayed at hotels with card lock doors before but they don't slam shut live the ones at Udee. very noisy at night and in the morning when people are going in and out of the room to use the bathroom

Great hostel for peace, yet close enough to anything you may need in the city. Very clean rooms and bathroom, although the room felt a bit warm (the AC could have been slightly lower). Room key deposit was expensive, so be sure to have extra money on hand (of course, this will be returned at check-out). No other complaints. Nice rooftop area, and many other seating/common areas. Staff was very matter-of-fact, but not rude. Seemed to attract a nice variety of travelers, all friendly and smiling.

Great hostel. It's a bit far from the city center. The staff is really friendly. The hostel is small enough wich is great to meeting new people. The breakfast is poor, but then again it's free!

Located in a quiet soi and has some very nice and new facilities. Also, the staff are friendly and willing to help with taxi directions and other issues. A very pleasant place to stay...and not far from the BTS.

This was our second stay at Udee on this trip. It's a great hostel in a quiet backstreet of Bangkok. Despite other reviews we found it close to the attractions which can be reached by bus. It's close to Don Meung airport and bus station. Main airport is 400baht and takes 30-45minutes by taxi. Also close to skytrain (15min walk). The rooms are a good size, with comfy beds, very clean. Good showers with loads of hot water. Good do it yourself breakfast. Very knowledgable and helpful staff.
