Good hostel!

perfect city-centre location with a few of nearby supermarkets. Nice and nett air of staff.

Very nice building, helpful staff, good location (if a little difficult to find at night). Felt very safe. Good breakfast, nothing special. The staff helped make any reservations I needed and recommended places to go/eat. I'd definitely stay again if I were in Bucharest.

I honestly didn't have any idea about Bucharest before I arrived and I must say that I was more than pleasantly surprised. The city is great and Umbrella is superb. The location is very central, Its extremely clean and comfortable but more than anything the staff are great. They are some of the nicest people I have met in all my travels. I highly recommend Umbrella hostel if you ever come to Bucharest!

I spent a lot of time reading reviews for hostels in Bucharest and found this one to be the highest rated and was not let down. It is a very nice hostel in an excellent location - I walked several times to the "tourist area" and took metro/bus back from there. It was all quite easy to do. Pluses for this Hostel: Actual clean & soft sheets, kitchen to cook, free wifi, cute house/design, friendly staff, good price, nice showers, cozy sitting room and kitchen, paid use of laundry machines, warm

Impressive hostel. Very comfortable beds with lights and power plugs. Very nice kitchen and common areas. Very clean. Also, the staff is great. I had a great time and would stay again for sure.

Great staff, really nice,friendly and helpful. Nice location,very close to the metro, supermarkets and Pharmacies around. Clean linen, spacious rooms. Great kitchen! I recommend it to foreigners as well as Romanian travelers!

Really nice hostel

Really beautiful hostel not so far from city best stuffs... Everything is new and clean and you can feel real great atmosphere. Unfortunately I had an only one night stay there.

What an awesome hostel! Philip let us in at 3am and he helped guide the rest of our stay in Bucharest. He such a great character and so is his co-owner Valentin. The place is huge and an impressively modern take on this eastern European city. Overall a pleasantly amazing experience and time in Bucharest thanks to the hostel and more importantly the staff. And man oh man, the showers were great as well as the cleanliness/location/services etc. Thanks Umbrella!

I really reccomend this hostel. The rooms are simple but functional and very cleaned (with a spectacular shower!), the staff is really helpuful and nice and the atmospheare quiet and laid back. It is located 15-20 min by foot to the historic center but is close to the metro station. A really excellent hostel!

Couldn't have been more impressed. The owner was a great guy and came down and had breakfast with us every morning. Called our taxies and made sure that we were covered on where to go.

Super helpful staff. They helped organise tours, taxies etc. Great location really close to the main boulevard with a really easy walk to the main tourest attractions.
