Amazing for 28 Brit female solo travelling. Stayed in 4 bed en suite and it was huge! Jordon at reception is a swell guy made me feel welcome. This hostel has so much space, so many showers/bathrooms. Loved the big kitchen, the bar downstairs with wine and cheese night, market tour. I really appreciated the announcements broadcasted to my room about plans for the day/night. Real easy to meet people, but also had no problems having some alone time too. Only thing missing is a public computer :-)

Great potential but lacking on some basics. - a little ledge for bedside storage, my phone keeps dropping from my bed to the person underneath me. - a little hook for towels. - you have a very hostile staff member in the hostel, who dropped profanity at paying guests - never acceptable. Otherwise, - good location - free wifi in the dining room - there is a staff member who smiles and says hi to everyone who walked in.

Nice brand new hostel. But they seem to have opened up too soon; the bar isn't finished and has no atmosphere to speak of. You can't bring in any alcohol whatsoever. Their guest policy is also ridiculous. You can't have any friends anywhere in the hostel, not even in the bar. Wifi was fast and the location was awesome. It's just a shame that there's too many strict rules. Almost perfect, but not quite. Maybe I would stay again once the place is actually finished and they've chilled out a bit.

Clean, easy to locate! Very convenient to go to different places.

Not a bad place as it is new and therefore looks clean. The stag were a bit strange. The bar downstairs is a lot of fun. For some reason they don't provide breakfast or at least didn't tell me they do it which is rare. Checkout time of 10 was to early. Lots of clean bathrooms though. The beds were cheap and a little weak.

Was a good stay there..clean and friendly staff. But the internet often did not work or very slow, that was really annoying...

They have been voted best hostel in Australia for a reason! Best hotel I've ever stayed in, so I've extended my stay here, staff are great, opened a bar couple of days before I got here, which is great! Kitchen is brilliant! Great hostel

Whilst on the face of it this is a great hostel. I wouldn't come here trying to make friends. The atmosphere was frosty to new comers at best. The amount of long termers seems to dictate friendliness.

The fact that they don't allow outside alcohol, and only sell their own overpriced drinks at their new bar both limited the amount of people I could meet and stifled the community environment they use to have.

I thought the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. One of my friends went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and people were peeing in the showers and there was blood covered all over another stall. Also, no drinking is allowed on their premises which is a bit annoying.

Recently renovated throughout. This is probably the best hostel I have stayed in in Austrailia. Great location just opposite the flinders station, walking distance to MCG and near all the shops. Staff were really nice, rooms were great and very good bathrooms. Big movie room and huge kitchen.

Heavily staffed so always somebody around to help. Kitchen gets a little dirty but that's down to the guests, and there is always a staff member trying to get on top of it! Rooms spacious and clean. Bar inside hostel = very little atmos in hostel due to NO alcohol rule. Free wifi but poor due to number of people on it (I think they're in the process of upgrading?) All in all a great hostel! 👍

Loved this hostel and great location right near flinders street station and CBD. Everything was clean and rooms were well equipped. One of the best lounge room set ups I have ever seen with the large steps, meant that there was plenty of room for everyone to have space. Would highly recommend this hostel if needing to stay in the area.

Great location!! The kitchen was good as well as the dining room and tv room. The showers we really good, all clean and hot!! It did get very hot in our room and the ceiling fans weren't quite enough to cool you down. Over all it was a very good place to stay.

A more expensive hostel than some, but with the location and facilities to match. Right opposite Flinders station/Fed square, very secure with swipecard access to all rooms and luggage store, and great, regularly cleaned bathrooms. One note, the wifi worked well when I first arrived, but the set up changed during my stay. The new portal was accessible in a more areas, but was also very slow and barely functional. Which is the case in nearly all Melbourne hostels, so still worth staying here :)

Fantastic hostel.. Cannot fault it! Great facilities, kitchen and dining area, comfy beds and warm showers, wifi in limited areas but no biggy! Awesome location! The best hostel yet!!

Kitchen and the common area was way too small for that many people and it got REALLY loud in the evenings. Would have been nice to sit down in a quiet place with a laptop without breadcrumbs all over. Good location though
