I was there for work actually (conference). Except the hotels in SECC, this hostel is the best place to stay, and for a fraction of the money. I am very happy to stay in this place. I would prefer/recommend to stay at the same place if I get a chance to visit Glasgow again. There was a lot of noise in the hallways after 10 pm. People were singing, laughing, playing guitar and the staff didn't say anything about it. It's a very clean and well-equiped hostel, but don't expect a lot of sleep. Also quite far from the city centre.There was a lot of noise in the hallways after 10 pm. I asked to be moved from my original room as it smelled like a bathroom. The room was changed within a few hours, to a better, cleaner room. There were several bathrooms and shower areas per room which was great, but they were not always clean and one toilet did not flush properly. Other than this a very safe building (as long as I kept my window shut on the first floor) and a quiet space in which to sleep.I asked to be moved from my original room as it smelled like a bathroom. it´s very good, i don´t have anyproblems, when i have to change the room the staff has been very friendly and effective. I change the room because, at begginig, i only go to stay at hotel 4 days, but, at last, i have stayed 7 days. Great place to get a quiet room of one's own. Close enough to the train if you don't have a lot to carry. Easy walking distance from Kelvingrove Gallery; not especially close to the downtown area. Here you can find a brilliant stay for a few money. The rooms are really big (1-bed around 12m2), tide and nice.
