BY CAR

From M8 Motorway (Edinburgh & South)
Exit at Junction 16 and follow signs for Aberfoyle (A81).

Carry on along Maryhill Road (A81) until you reach a traffic light crossroads with Maryhill Road/Bilsland Drive (approx 1 mile).

Take a right hand turn at traffic light and follow road under the bridge.

Take first turning on your right into Murano Street and take the next right again which will take you into the Student Village.

Reception is located in centre of the Village - this is signposted.
From M8 Motorway (Glasgow Airport & West)
Exit at Junction 17 and follow instructions as above.

Glasgow International Airport (0141 887 1111)
An airport bus service (no.905) runs approximately 8 times per hour to Buchanan Bus Station in the city centre. (The service runs from 0630 to 2400 hours, Monday to Friday and on Sundays, and from 0600 to 2400 hours on Saturdays. For further information regarding this service telephone 08705 505050). See 'By Coach' to find out how to travel from Buchanan Bus station to Murano Street Student Village by public transportation. Alternatively, you could take a taxi from airport directly to accommodation (approx. £15.00 - £20.00).
Prestwick Airport (01292 479 822)
Prestwick Airport is a 45 minute train journey from the city centre. Trains run approximately every 30mins from the Airport to Glasgow Central Station in the city centre. Buchanan Bus Station (0141 333 3708)
Buchanan Bus Station is situated in the city centre. Inside the Bus Station, you could catch bus no. 119/109/19x/9x and asks for a stop for fire station on maryhill road. Once you get off the bus, walk ahead till fire station, then cross the road and bridge over the canal. By then, you are already inside the village. There are other buses that will take you from city centre to our village, such as no.18, no.8, no.40, no.61. They are more frequent; however, you do have to make your way to Hope Street first, in order to catch the bus. A taxi from Buchanan Street to Murano Street will cost approximately £4.00.

BY RAIL

Central Station
Most rail services coming to Glasgow terminate at Central Station. Once you arrive at the central station, make your way to the main exit on Union Street. Outside the exit, turn left and walk straight ahead to Hope Street. On your right-hand side across the street, you'll find a bus stop, from where you could take any of these buses: bus no. 18, no. 8, no.40, no.61. If you choose to pick up bus no. 18, it will take you through Bath street, argyll street, byres road and you should get off at the last stop on Queen Margaret Drive, just around the corner of Maryhill road. Once you get off the bus, walk ahead to the traffic lights, cross diagonally and walk along Maryhill Road for about 2 minutes, until you see stairs and the Forth and Clyde Canal on your left-hand side. Cross the bridge over the canal and you will be inside the village. If you pick up bus no. 40 or no.61, it will drive onto and along Maryhill road after the expressway. Ask for the stop for fire station. And when you get off, walk ahead to the fire station, cross the road from there, climb the stairs and cross the bridge over the canal, you're inside the village. Alternatively you can get a taxi, which will cost approximately £5 - £7.
Queen Street Station
Queen Street Station is the termination point for most trains coming from other stations in Scotland, including the shuttle service from Edinburgh. To travel from Queen Street Station, you could either walk for about 5 minutes to Hope Street to catch one of the buses mentioned above, or you could take the underground service and get off at Hillhead Station stop. Once you walk out of the subway station, cross the road, and catch either bus no.18 or no.8. Alternatively, you might wish to turn right and walk along Byres Road and Queen Margaret Drive, then turn right onto Maryhill road. Walk along maryhill road till you reach the fire station, you will see the village right across. This walk takes your through the main road in the West End of the city, however, it's a 20-25 minutes' good walk. A taxi from Queen Street Station to the residence will cost approximately £5 - £7.
