I HIGHLY RECOMMENED THIS HOSTEL! IT IS SIMPLY AWESOME! In the heart of lovely and safe neighbouhood, Pocitos, lies this lovely house wich is Unplugged Hostel Pocitos. Only a 5 minute walk to the beach and the Rambla or to Parque Rodo wich are wonderful places to spend days when the sun is out. The staff is super fun and friendly, and helpful with all your questions, whatever they may be. At night time the staff lights the BBQ and makes the most delicius BBQ i've ever had! THANK YOU UNPLUGGED!

The toilets are really bad, very few ones and if you have allergy with dust it´s better to stay in another place because the room has carpet and foam on the wall... but the place has nice bar and if you are not looking for confort will be ok.

A classic hostel at the heart of Pocitos, a safe neighborhood with lots of popular dance clubs, beautiful parks, and a stellar rambla. The hostel offers a relaxed n laid-back atmosphere with the best staff, that later fires up the grill for amazing BBQ in the bar (which you've got to sign up for!!). Tables are then removed to open up the dance floor for the perfect per-party with cumbia n reaggeton! Thumbs up for fresh fruit at breakfast, the staff, the bar, and a superb location in Montevideo!

The hostel is cosy and with a beautiful common room where you can eat great asados. Rooms a big and clean..location is not in the old city but in the safer Pocitos, close to everything. If you go to see the candombe percussionist in the old city take a lot of care and do not take anything valuable with you

Nice hostel but needs a few improvements. we stayed in the 4 bed dorm for 3 nights. Room was small and pillows and mattress were smelly. One night, we slept with the balcony door open to ventilate the room and the wind was lifting the ceiling tiles all night and we had a few mosquitos visiting as well. Breakfast was average and dishes were scarce. There was one bowel to eat cereal in the entire facility. All reusable chipped off dishes and old cutlery.

It was a great place to stay, the staff were awesome and the location was just few minutes from the beach. Everything you needed was nearby, and we ate the best asado ever there so thanks Unplugged Hostel!

When I book into a hostel, atmosphere, location and friendly staff are always at the top of my priority list. The Unplugged hostel in Pocitos has far exceeded what I was looking for! Beaches, nightlife and shopping are an arms length away. Asados and parties a regular occurrence here whilst the hostel still manages to maintain a relaxed vibe. All of the staff are awesome and always very patient with my terrible Spanish. Watch out for the motorbike riding, goatee repping swede, Rasmus!

Good location, but that's about it. The room I was staying in had a loose shutter, which banged against the wall all night with the smallest amount of wind. They would play ridiculously loud heavy metal music from about 9am all day every day. The staff were not very welcoming at all and for this reason I wouldn't recommend it for a lone traveller.

Had a great time here, lots of asados (which are amazing, by the way) and the staff are so friendly. In a great location very close to the beach with supermarkets, bars, restaurants and clubs close by. Would definitely recommend this hostel - I have now stayed here longer than I can count, and will be going back again soon!
