The guesthouse looks kind of questionable on the outside. However, once you enter the foyer, its wonderful. It feels like a hip, urban yet country inn. The owners are really nice and helpful. We stayed in the loft and I absolutely loved it. The bed was comfortable and the loft was very roomy and nicely decorated. It comes with an extra bed (futon) and a space heater for cold evenings. The doorknob kept falling off but otherwise I loved it. The breakfast options could be enhanced a little.

Very welcoming and helpful, good tips on where to go in Vancouver. A perfect base to explore the city and surrounding areas. If we ever get back to Vancouver again we'll most definitely consider staying at the Urban Hideaway

A lovely guesthouse, in a beautiful old home, with plenty of the personal touch. Ken and Janine were always exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I changed my plans and they were able to fit me in very easily. They are also very trusting with use of all the facilities in what is also their own home. Thanks K & J! Mark

It is very familial, easy-going and relaxt. The hosts are very friendly, welcoming and you can ask them everything. Also, the breakfast was quite nice. The room was nice and comfortably. Only the heating couldn't be regulated, so the air was not that good in the room. The sink in the room has only cold water. The DVD collection was impressing, and great on a rainy evening! The location of the guesthouse is great!

Janine and Ken were welcoming and very sweet. Great breakfast options in a well supplied kitchen. Good place to meet people interested in venturing out of the typical hostel network.
