Very friendly staff. Comfortable. Windows were a teeny bit drafty. Thank you for everything.

This hostel was amazing! We were looking for a nice spot to chill in Chicago, and this neighborhood was perfect. The hostel was also über-cute, super clean, and the location was perfect. If you wanted to hang out downtown it would be great too, since the blue line is a short walk away, and the buses are easy to get to, too. They also have bikes for rent at the hostel, which I would definitely have taken advantage of if we would have been staying a bit longer. A+ hostel!

Too old building, must get some construction. It was too noisy and we couldnt sleep well some nights. We can hear when upstair people were walking ... Its just cuz the building is too old and makes sound while walking.

I felt very safe staying there, and the neighborhood is very hip. Staffs are polite, though not particularly interested in chatting. lounge is nice, though it closes at night.

I had a great time for NYE at Urban Holiday Lofts despite the short time I spent there. I had to work a little to engage conversation with other guests, but I presume it was because I was travelling by myself - It's always more difficult to inset a group when by yourself. Other than that, staff was very friendly, helpful and funny. The location was perfect - just besides the train (CTA) and in my favorite area of Chicago! Cleanliness was good, bathrooms cleaned regularly.

Altogether a great experience, except: The heater was blasting the entire time, and even with the windows open in the middle of winter the room was too hot. When we notified the staff, they poked their head in to try to figure out where the heat was coming from (um, the heat vents?), and it never got fixed throughout our 5-night stay. Still good value for what we paid.

Hostel was nice overall. I wish the room was warmer. There was a window between our room and the next that was frosted, but it could have used a curtain--the neighbors were up a little later than us and the light was really bright. We used a fitted sheet to cover it. In general it was very nice.

Jason was incredibly nice (and hot! :P ). Would really like to thank him for helping me to carry my insanely heavy luggage up to my floor!

Awesome hostel. I have stayed at many a hostel in Europe but never in the US and this was one of the best hostels I have been to. Awesome staff and location. Very clean. Some people said the people walking on the floor above was loud but it really didn't bother me. Our deluxe room had a fridge and sink, full length mirror, nice ensure bathroom. The atmosphere was great and the kitchen/common room upstairs was fantastic! Awesome amenities, location, and staff for a great price. Loved it!

I was so satisfied with this hostel! Staffs were so nice, my bed was so clean. It was a bit uncomfortable to lift my heavy luggage up the stairs. Except for that part, everything was so good.
