The Urkmez Hotel was perfectly located and the staff was excellent. I would say that the rooms are a little on the smaller side, but this is hardly unusual for Europe and not something to complain about.
We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Urkmez Hotel. Right from the word go the staff were very helpful, getting our heavy bags up the stairs, getting tours organised for us. They even arranged to get a computer cable fixed for us. They recommended places to eat and places to see, showed us where to but food, gets stamps... The team of brothers were fantastic and always so friendly. Our rooms were very comfortable and clean and the breakfast tasty and filling. We would recommend them.
From the minute we arrived to the minute we departed, Cem and his staff were very warm and helpful with anything we needed. Cem even took us on an unexpected trip to Kuşadası to show us more of the Izmir/Selcuk area! The facilities are very clean (with A/C), modern, and the free breakfast is delicious with different varieties each day. The only thing we didn't like so much is that the beds are very uncomfortable (hard). Otherwise, worth the money!
My stay a Urkmez greatly exceeded any expectations I had, mostly due to the amazingly helpful, kind and sincere staff who did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable!! I would definitelyyyy recommend this to anyone!!!

Can't say enough good things about this hostel - we stayed in one of the private rooms that was perfectly set up (balcony, bed, bathroom, etc). Breakfast was provided on the top floor overlooking the Byzantine fort and the aqueduct was virtually right outside of the building (with views of all of the storks nesting for the season on top). Staff were supremely helpful. Would HIGHLY recommend!
Great hotel in a fantastic part of Selcuk. Within minutes of the basilica, Artemis temple and right next to the ruins of the Roman aqueduct. Lovely rooms, wonderful views from the roof top balcony, great breakfast. Lovely place to stay.
The staff couldn't be more professional and hospitable. We requested a quieter room and were taken to their Ephesus Suites which was fabulous beyond words. Go there, great breakfasts too.
Lovely hostel in the centre of the pedestrian district with lots of good cafes and restaurants nearby. It's a short walk from the bus station. Breakfast was one of the best in Turkey, all the old standards but done very well and with nice touches. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Only downside was a noisy central marble staircase.
U are really at great location. Your room was clean. Very affordable room rate. Nice staffs. Good services. Thank you!

Would be great if you accepted GBP, but it's alright, just had to change it at the Post that's next door. :)
The staff there are very nice and helpful. The hotel is very near the bus station, going anywhere is quite convenient. The breakfast they offered was very delicious!
The staff ws fantastic! I had a knee injury and couldn't climb the stairs to breakfast, so they brought it down for me and helped me with my bags. And you can't get much closer to the train and bus stations...the location is very good!
I had a pleasant stay at Urkmez hotel. It has an ideal location - right in the center of the city, 1 min walk from the train station and 5 min walk from the bus station. The owners of the hotel - Juju and Jimmy - were extremely helpful, friendly and hospitable. They have two types of rooms - standard and deluxe. The standard rooms are very simple. The room I had in Istanbul was only slightly more expensive than my room at Urkmez hotel but was a lot better furnished and provided excellent service
Very well organised and great hosts, hope to see them again!
Nice little hotel very near the Selcuk train station and bus stand. The staff were very polite and helpful if asked anything. Nominal charge for tour arrangements and they help pair you with other guests to share the costs. Since they speak good English, it would be really great if they talk to you for sometime once you check-in, understand how many days you are there and what are your interests and arrange something for you without you going and explicitly asking them. Some hostels do this.
During my trip through Turkey I visited 8 cities and stayed at 6 hotels. The city of Selcuk (close to Ephesus excavations and other historic sites) and Urkmez Hotel were definitely the best places.
How fantastic!!! Juju and his family were very very kind. It's perpect to organise planning trip in selcuk. We are big group (11 members). They jntroduced good driver and rent car, so we easily could go Mary's House and Efes, Siringe village. They helped us to buy night bus ticket for Istanbul. The breakfast in the roof garden was beautiful. Next month, I have another trip in selcuk. Of course I would stay Urkmez Hotel again. I really miss Juju and his family.
We really loved our stay here. Felt very comfortable, great breakfast and would highly recommend eating the barbeque if you have the chance - it's a feast. Great staff too. Thankyou!
Amazing staff, amazing location, amazing roof terrace with a spectacular view. Urkmez Hotel is run by the best people I have come across. Highly recommend!
