We have seen a lot of hostels in South East Asia. In general we are very enthousiast about all the facilities that you get for a small amount of money, but although this was the cheapest hostel off all, it was very bad! We would never recommend this hostel: the beds are extremely bad. There is NO atmophere at all. No reception, because the coffee machine of the coffee house was broken (???). Also it was very cold, because their were no good blankets. So, never go there!!
My shoes were stolen from the area designated for shoes.. The staff said it was probably from a stray dog. We were provided 2 bottles of water that looked like they were sealed, but when we unsealed them about 15 tiny bugs crawled out from the cap. The staff is rarely at the front desk even during the day. The wifi could be fast at times but it was mostly pretty slow for us. Other than that though, the bed was pretty comfy and it was a nice private room but a bit expensive for the area.

Really cute, quiet place, a little away from main roads and noises but close enough to all the good bits in Chiang Mai. The owners are lovely, helpful and super friendly. Prodigious coffee! Loads of little details yo make you feel at home, like a kettle with cups, water in the bedroom etc. Will definitely book here the next time I happen upon Chiang Mai.

We stayed here for a week longer than we booked. V was very helpful and friendly and the guesthouse was a great location in the old city. We would definetly stay there again.
Everything is perfect. Staff there are of great friendly. I'll absolutely go there again!!
the owner is more than helpful: she is well-traveled so she really gives some very good advice that travelers need!! the place is not new at all but it's still clean. there are some very lovely cats there, for me it's a plus cuz I love them!
A bit off the beaten path and away from the touristy parts of Chiang Mai, right next to an awesome public park. Virgi, the owner, is a champion. She gave us great, honest advice about where to go/see and which tour operators to use or not use (and why!). Only thing to note: They're a small place so don't have 24-hour reception. So make sure you coordinate when you're going to arrive!
We stayed at V & Oh Guesthouse for three nights. The woman at the front desk was amazingly helpful and nice. The wifi was strong in the cafe/lobby, but weak in our room (right off the cafe). The restroom was typical for a SE Asia bathroom - the shower and toilet are in the same area - but there were cobwebs (complete with spider) in the corner, and mosquitos. Comfortable bed, spacious room, would stay again.
Such a great guy runs it--felt like family!
