A campsite with dorms right at the sea - but 10 km away from Catania center. Wrong directions: Bus 427 does not run anymore, only Bus "D" (take a bus from the train station to Via Paolo Borsellino). Very friendly staff - let me stay alone in a 4-bed-dorm, because it was Off-season (September). Because of that it lacked of atmosphere as everything was closed, deserted and a bit run-down, the only bar/ restaurant was open till 9:30 p.m. There was no AC and the rooms very humid. Good for the beach.

The bungalows were small, very simply equipped and not really clean. The shop which is situated in the camp has very limited assortment of goods. Close to the camp there is a very noisy discotheque it was nearly impossible to sleep because of the noise. The transport from the airport or city centre to the camp is also not so easy. It exist a time schedule (the buses should goes every 20 minutes). It is definitely not true. We waited every day minimal 40 minutes (1,5 hour was not rarity).

The little hut was very nice and a nice atmosphere. We were just 40 sec walking to the beach. Unfortenately during the summertime there are lots of big parties at the clubs close to the park. So .. A little bit less sleep. The parties end at 05.00 pm and the music is very loud. Also there is a bus, bus D, wich goes to the city... But the bustransport is the summer is not much.. It took us about 4 hours to go to toarmina. But the bus is very cheap! We loved the park an it little houses. ;)

+ nice village (especially for families because of animation team) + Nice beach - The hostel room was horrible! Very dirty, old and simplistic. Simply disappointing. - The shower was gross, which flooded the entire bathroom and created a disgusting foot bath of wall-dirt - Our 'double bed' existed of two single beds - The swimming pool and pizzeria were closed in high season - Shop and restaurant are (too) minimal - Located far outside Catania with bad busconnection - Unhelpful staff

Te staff is ok, the blond Italian girl with short hair at the reception was very nice to me and tried to help with a lot of things, but the location is like way out of he town and the buses run infrequently without timetable, they come whenever they wanted.... They didn't clean the room for 2 nights after my roommate left, But it was fine, just not good or comfortable

Nice place to relax by the pool and the tents were very nice and comfortable. Just don't leave anything valuable in them! People had bags stolen while we were there.

I was surprised and annoyed by the loud music that played outside every single night until 4am.

We had dissapointment on arrival, because expected the room with More facilities as saw on the VTE website. But for money we payed hostel room ws appropriate. Perfect location!

It is camping right on the beach. That is excelent. We are family: 2 adults and 2children. Therefore we took a 4 bed "dormitorium". Ir is quite small and humidity keeps. But if use it just for sleeping, it is o.k. (evenings could be spent on terrace).

I enjoyed my time at Villagio Europeo. The facilities were very rustic yet clean, and the staff was helpful. The pros of this facility include its location (a private beach only a few minutes by bus from downtown Catania with access to buses, trains, airport, etc.) and price. We were even able to call them and cancel one night f our stay, for which we were not penalized. The cons include having to pay for internet access and an unreliable bus system. Overall, though, a rustic yet pleasant stay.

Considering this is primarily a campsite, the hostel part was different to what you might expect in a regular hostel. But it's literally right on the beach which makes it completely worthwhile! And I stayed just before the peak summer season so the value for money was fantastic. Although the facilities are a little old and wearing down (as expected by a beach at a campsite), they were clean and worked (mostly) well. If you want a place to relax by the beach this place is perfect
