Great hostel, neat and maintained well, close to the BTS and Tesco. But be aware, it is located more than 30 kms away from DMK airport.
Only stayed one night, the rooms were pretty small and cramped and the light for the room stayed on till 2/3am and we didn't have access to turn it off. The blankets for the beds were also towels. It was okay.
Out of the more touristy areas but a short walk to BTS or bus. Second time here. I like the atmosphere. Washers and dryers for laundry are convenient.
This hostel was very nice. The location was easy to find, close to the BTS, and a 24hr Tesco, and 7/11. A bit far from the main city, but if your taking taxis or tuk Tuks can be more expensive, but the BTS is a great option to see the city better. The room was clean, I didn't see any bugs or mosquitos, bathrooms are shared and very clean. There is kitchen and fridge, all shared and a garden to sit and eat. Overall this was a pleasant place to stay while in Bangkok.
This is one of the best organized hostels I've ever stayed at.
Everything just ok. A bit run down place compared to similar priced hostels in bkk. They provide kind of a towell as a blanket, weird. Aircon was too low and no remote in the room. Quite far from everywhere and no local neighborhood at hand.
It is a 15min walk from BTS. Customer service was good, the WIFI drops out ocassionally. Only one computer to use. The kitchen facility only had a microwave and toaster with cultery. The 8 bed room was cozy and clean with comfortable mattress. The laundry is coin operated but expect to have your cloths go missing from the line. The bathroom only 3 toilets and 3 showers for the entire place. Only 1 working PC to use.
The VX is a great hostel with lovely staff. There are great touches like hair dryers and straighteners in the bathroom, or a iron and ironing board. Also the bowl of free fruit is a really nice touch. My only issue is with the water dispenser. The water from there has a plastic and unpleasant taste. Otherwise everything is good! And very clean!
Great hostel, AC in the room, kitchen and common room, across the street is a great place for lunch. A little bit far from the centre but there are ways to get there so that is not a big problem.

I moved to here to leave the tourists and reduce my prices. I extended several days as I found it to be comfortable. Nice areas to socialize, refrigerator, toaster oven, sink, washer & dryer (coin-op) all provided. Free tea and coffee and limited fruit. Convenience store and local food within one minute walk. Large store, food markets and MRT (elevated train) about ten minutes walk. I would return if in the area again.
On arrival we were split in two different rooms despite selecting beds in the same room. The woman on the front desk was incredibly rude and unhelpful - she refused to book a taxi for us meaning we had to try and flag one down at 4 am to catch our flight and she also didn't have any change when we checked in so made us sort out money to give her the exact amount - luckily we did have some change! Also, there are only 4 toilets and 4 showers for all the dorms on both the second and third floors.
