Firstly thanks for the compliments and good overall score. Now of the last 30 guests who did a review 26 gave us full marks for staff and the rest 4 out of 5.At the minute working in the hostel we have a 19 year old a 23 year old. There is also a guy of 31 who is a chef by trade and does the bbqs and could make beds for Ireland.I am Gerard and the oldest here and i do the breakfasts and get my satisfaction from helping the guests in any way i can and helping to make Vagabonds the number one hostel in Belfast. If i was out partying and acting all cool you'd probably have went for coffee and donuts. We apologize for the fact that there may have been a few wrinkles here and there but we don't live in an ideal world and the best you can do sometimes is to be practical.I'm also the one who makes sure no s..t goes down and that's no job for a 19 year old. They probably wouldn't want to do it anyway over being out the back eating bbq food and drinking beer.Anyhow thanks for your custom and i must run into the hairdressers next door to see if they have any botox.Peace

Charming, clean, friendly, and very tastefully decorated interior. The place to stay if you're a fan of the visual arts, or just a fan of great hostels. The staff was awesome, especially Gerard, and were really helpful when it came to finding places and services in the city, such as tours, restaurants, landmarks and transportation options. The laid-back atmosphere and layout of the place made making new friends easy. My only regret was I couldn't stay longer!

One of the best hostels I've been to in over 30 countries, at a great price and sparkling clean, too. Lovely decor, all the facilities you could want, great location and atmosphere, whether you are looking for a quiet place, a place to chat or to party! Staff is fantastic, too. I stayed here a few days looking for a room in Belfast and will recommend it to everyone who's visiting.

A really cool hostel in a great location in Belfast. It had all the facilities you'd expect - free wifi, tv room, fully equipped kitchen and a pool table out the back. The staff were really cool - especially Gerry, Tai and Ritchy. They were happy to party with us and take the group out to the local pubs. The first night they brought out all this leftover booze and put it on the table for free. This resulted in me passing out on the couch! No one was too fussed - cheers guys!!

Vagabonds is a brilliant hostel, one of the best I've stayed in in 7 years of backpacking. Here's my bit by bit: It's in a great location, the beds are comfy and the rooms are roomy, it's clean, there are lockers for all the beds, breakfast is included, but the best bit about this place is the staff. They're awesome. Super friendly and welcoming, very knowledgeable, they're always up for a chat and there's always an invite out if your keen. High 5 Vagabonds, you made my stay in Belfast awesome!

I just want to say thanks to the boys at Vagabonds from the old fella from down under. They made me feel welcome even with a young crown staying there. They gave good advice on places to eat, drink, and visit. Vagabonds has a comfortable feel about it and the facilities suite the environment, homely.

The heater couldn't be turned on in room 7, and the window couldn't be shut all the way, making the room a bit cold.

The knob for turning the radiator on and off is down in behind the bed where the warm water enters the radiator. We are sorry that your stay wasn't as comfortable as it should have been but appreciate the fact that you didn't let it influence the way you judged the hostel in general.Have a great life.Regards Gerard

Congratulations to Vagabonds on becoming the 7th best hostel in the world for the month of April. My stay at your hostel was wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed the friendly staff, and how open minded they were to my suggestions and ideas. The atmosphere at your hostel was terrific, and I loved how neat and clean everything was. I can't wait to go back to Belfast and stay at Vagabonds hostel!!

Vagabonds was an excellent hostel! The staff was super friendly and helped us book tours for the main attractions in Belfast. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and it was great to have a kitchen in which to cook or just get a glass of water. I will definitely be recommending this hostel to others.
