The staffs in Vaianny Guest House are very helpful and friendly, we had a very good time staying here. Original plan to stay 2 nights but ended up with 5 nights. The facilities and the room are good!

This hostel was one of our favourites. The Staff were great, friendly, informative, and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were really good. Good position just off the main street. Highly recommended by us.

Well they told me that their water heater is not working so i was move to kona tau... Wen i went back to the airport that night saw them again waiting for more people! I am pretty sure they overbooked! I should have paid less in kona tau bcoz it was a 4bed dorm and i reserved for a 2bed dorm... When i emailed them about it no response! They only want your money!! Avoid them if u want a smooth travel!!!!

Unfortunately, as soon as we arrived to the Airport, we were informed Vaianny was overbooked and they were transferring us to another hostel which supposedly had the same things we asked for. We stayed at Chez Oscar which was basic but wonderful, but I´m sure it didn´t cost the same we had reserved Vaianny for and still, paid full price. I had read a few days before arriving this happened to someone else and I only hoped it wouldn´t happen to us - but it did...

Vaianny Guesthouse is dodgy. I emailed to confirm my booking, and add on extra nights, and I was told there was no problem. Then when I arrived they told me they had double booked the room, and that I was going to stay at Kona Tau, a 'sister' hostel, which was the 'same'. The prices and location however were different, and I spent some time arguing to get the same deal. In the end, Kona Tau is cheaper and I recommend it. Not Vaianny though, they do this all the time it seems.

I'm so glad I found this guesthouse! Everything was perfect during my stay, very nice staff, amazing breakfast, as many mangos as I could eat from the mango tree in the yard, extremely clean, and cheap by Easter Island standards. I wish I could return on the island, I would surely stay there again.

Good base for Easter Island with lovely staff and the owner Johanna is very helpful and informative. I booked a single ensuite and it was a good size and located in a cabin in the garden of the hostel. The garden had a sitting area at the back with a table, comfy chairs and a power point and light. Guests could chat and relax here, even when it was raining. It is also sited a one minute walk from the main street and shops. I would recommend it for a stay on the island.

Did a switch on us and placed us in Chez Oscar instead of Vaianny. Located far away from main street with restaurants, shops, etc. Oscar is a good host who speaks Spanish, French, and English. Room was decently clean but had basic island facilities. No hot water one night. Breakfast consisted of bread, ham, cheese, tea, and guava juice.

Rapa Nui/Easter Isld is a very special place - and so to were the very warm interactions with the guest hostess Joanna and Maria the cook. Vaianny is an all around good hostel, great location, was always clean and very reasonably priced. Joanna was also very helpful to provide tips, and in a pinch helped to arrange a wonderful guided tour. When going back to Rapa Nui, we plan to stay at Vaianny again.

my grandma has a similar house to this hostel. tented area at the backyard, plants and chickens all around and hearty breakfast in the morning. it was a cozy place for a 5 day stay. the house was a few seconds walk away from the main street where all the shops are and the owner and her staff are all very warm and welcoming people.

Generally it is good. I really hope both I and the roommate they assigned to me could have separate keys, but we had to share one and it caused some problems. The breakfast is nice and has different tropical fruits everyday. It is not cheap but since hotel stay on Easter Island is generally pricey, this place is considered a bargain. Internet (Wi-Fi) is extremely slow but it is not really a surprise.
