WIFI is not available in room. And tax is actually NOT included in the price. But the tax stuff hasn't been mentioned in the introduction of the hostel, and so I didn't realise that I need to pay the tax when booking the hostel.

Piran is a gem on the coast of Slovenia. Staying in the heart of this amazing coastal village in a reasonably priced hostel made this an unforgettable holiday! The buffet breakfast was the cherry on top! I would definitely recommend this place if not for the superb location but also the fact that the Slovenians make an effort to be helpful and are very friendly!

when we arrived at the hostel it appeared that our room hadn't been cleaned. Although the beds were made, there was an empty wate bottle, some tissues and a dirty glass in the room. However, when we mentioned it to the receptionist she was apologetic and said that she would tell the hostel owner. The rest of the hostel was clean.

Val Hostel is great, it's right in the middle of the town, and the breakfast is fantastic.

nice, charming lady at the reception. nice location at just a few meters from the "beach", nice little town. Hostels misses a real hostel feeling though...

The tea kitchen is OK, but it is rather poorly equipped with pots and pans(there is only one saucepan and one saucepot, there are no glasses or bowls). Once you managed to prepare your meal, it is great that you can take it down to the street tables at the entrance and eat it while the locals and tourists pass by.
